"This was the most expensive hotel I stayed at during my entire trip to Italy, Vatican City, and Greece. Even in the off-season, it cost €1300 per night, plus a daily city tax of €9. The hotel is located in Oia. A taxi ride there cost me €30 one way (price for reference). This area features the buildings frequently seen on Santorini postcards. The Nano Hotel is located above the island's No. 1 restaurant on Dianping (a separate post; I found the food neither good nor the service particularly enthusiastic, and the view from the hotel was better than from the hotel itself). Next to the hotel is the famous blue-domed church. Actually, I noticed that almost all the churches on the island have blue domes. If you use Gaode Maps, you'll only see the one in Fira. The hotel offers cave rooms (a bit damp, but manageable with the dehumidifier). The bathroom is rather low, which is a drawback, and the zipper doesn't zip, so water easily splashes out. The room itself is incredibly spacious, basically a large one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom, one-kitchen layout. There's a large open-air balcony outside (most hotels have this), where you can sit and have breakfast. So relaxing! There's a jacuzzi where you can soak and lie down while enjoying the scenery – the experience is unbeatable! As for the tourists coming and going at the entrance and the occasional horse manure on the ground, just ignore it; nothing is perfect. The staff carried our luggage (about 300 meters from the only parking lot in town) and could act as an intermediary to recommend yacht trips. We paid €105 per person for half a day on a 7-person yacht, including a BBQ meal, swimming in the sea, and watching the sunset – absolutely perfect!"

"Very good house! Very good boss! He helped us rent a car with only a mainland driver's license. And the house has very good earthquake resistance because of the recent Athens earthquake. The boss is a very tasteful person, and his aesthetic taste can be felt in the decoration of the house. The room is quiet, clean, and has many details. You can cook, open the curtains to see the sea, and the kitchen paper is also very generous. It is within the delivery distance of the Chinese restaurant Yixiangju. "White Pearl Villas was wonderful! As we arrived, we were proactively greeted by a member of the staff. He attended to our baggage and walked us down to the Aqua Villa Dream room. The room wasn’t on the highest part of Oia, but it was near a great terrace which had lawn chairs and which we used for photos. Our room has a personal terrace as well with a comfortable chair, but the view from there wasn’t the best. As we entered the room, we saw that we’d been given a complimentary bottle of wine as well as a bottle of water. The staff member gave us a quick tour of the room, which was interestingly shaped and carved into the cliff. It felt very unique and cozy. We had a smart television that we used for Netflix, as well as a refrigerator. The room also had a jacuzzi, though we didn’t use it as we were visiting in August and it was already quite warm outside. The plunge pool had a cool window that opened to the ocean, though. The bathroom was a bit small, but the shower was good quality with strong water pressure and consistent temperature. The staff added me on WhatsApp for easy communication which was GREAT. The bed was very comfortable with nice sheets as well as a hollow headboard which was good for putting our phones and other things over night. Everything in the room was cleaned when we arrived. There was also a cleaning service when we were away during the day. The air conditioner was strong and there was a dehumidifier as well. There were plenty of towels and outlets, though we of course needed a converter for our American electronic devices. There was a coffee maker with easy to use pods, as well as 2 pairs of soft white slippers. We did not try the breakfast or the massage service. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. My only wish is that the view directly from our room was a bit better, as the room is tucked into the mountainside. However, there were nice photo spots all around us, so we only had to take 20 steps to get a nice view of the sunrise or sunset in comfy chairs. If I return to Santorini, I will absolutely stay here again!"

"The villa is really beautiful, with a small swimming pool and hottub. It is also very private. It is next to the main road, which is a big advantage for Santorini with many steps and gravel roads. It is very close to the station, and it is very convenient to take a bus to Oia or the beach. The most important thing is that the beautiful woman at the front desk is super nice, gentle and beautiful. We arrived too early in the morning and could not check in, but she was very attentive and patiently explained to us the places and routes we could go after storing our luggage. It was a very good experience. If I have the opportunity to go with my family next time, I will choose to stay here again."

"This is a very friendly staff. It is a bit opposite to the cliff village of Imale, but you can enjoy the atmosphere of a quieter and secluded village. "Since it was before the main tourist season, there was only one other guest, and they treated us with incredible kindness. The hotel is located at the entrance to Oia, so it takes about a 5-minute walk to reach the main area with the white houses. "A truly special stay — raw, beautiful, and full of character From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Vincent, the manager, had arranged for a staff member to meet us at the Post Office. From there, we walked the famous donkey path down to the hotel — and honestly, it was one of the most memorable parts of the trip. Stunning views, donkeys along the way — it’s Santorini. If you expect a completely flat walk, you’re in the wrong place. And that’s not the hotel’s problem. I’ve seen reviews complaining about the stairs, calling it dirty or difficult. Having experienced it myself, I can tell you: it’s nothing. A little walk, a little effort — perfectly fine. If someone can’t manage that, they probably shouldn’t be visiting Santorini in the first place. And the hotel already arranged for staff to carry our luggage both ways — so the hard part was handled. The hotel isn’t trying to be some fake luxury resort. It’s authentic, raw, and full of soul. The location is simply the MOST stunning spot in the area — unbeatable for photos and views. We were incredibly fortunate to be given a room with an indoor hot tub. If you’re visiting Santorini in the winter or early spring, this is incredibly important — it’s cold and windy outside to stay long. I searched for a long time and realized there aren’t many places here with an indoor hot tub. The water was exceptionally clean which made all the difference. Deep, warm, and absolutely relaxing on those cooler March days. The room was also well-equipped with everything we needed — toiletries, coffee machine, water, all provided. Visiting Greece this time of year is actually fantastic. Streets are quiet, no crowds. The views are just as stunning, and you don’t have to deal with extreme heat. Of course, the weather is a bit of a gamble — sometimes it rains — but there are always moments of sunshine. And the best part? It’s not as expensive as in the summer. A place like this is an absolute steal. Breakfast was generous, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared with Greet and American to choose from — a great start to each day. If you’re looking for a place with real character, soul, and the most beautiful setting in Oia — this is it. The team was warm and attentive. Genuinely grateful for our stay. Thanks Old Castle Oia!"

"This place is a steal. Spacious rooms, excellent service, wonderful facilities and great vibes in general. However, it is misleading to say that it is near Fira. It is physically near, true, but it is impossible to walk. It is an uphill hike with a lot of cars sharing the same path with countless sharp bends. Not advisable at all. It is also quite a distance to the beach. Otherwise, this is an excellent place to stay if you are renting a car. Had a great time there."
