My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving at 3PM by rental car from the NLK Airport. We met a nice housekeeper at reception who led us to the adjoining door with a table and 2 chairs out front and our name on the entry. Unit #5 opened to a new wood floor with a fully outfitted kitchen, dining table and chairs and living room with couch and TV(perfect reception of several channels. Off the living room is a small back patio with 2 chairs, a table, and a clothesline with pins. Next the carpeted bedroom with a comfortable queen then a fully outfitted tiled bathroom with a tiled shower. At 5PM, we met the manager who provided a secure WIFI code that extended to our room. The 1960s decor was sparkling clean and provided a quiet night’s sleep but needed the provided blanket at night. Too cold to use the sparkling pool. We walked a ½ km through the town shops, Bowling Club, Visitor Center and Library, returning to the nice Foodland supermarket.

The apartment location is central, an easy walk to all clubs, shops and cafes. Whilst the property is a bit tired, it was comfortable for a short stay; the pool was clean, the staff friendly, no wifi available ( but is free next door at the RSL and other businesses), and no air conditioning on the island. A bonus was the car hire included in the cost of the accommodation (which isn't clearly advertised).

The apartments are very clean and comfy. the beds were great, We had an adjoining one with our daughter and found it very good. The manager was absolutely marvelous. there was nothing too much trouble for her. The apartments were very quite and there was no noise from other apartments would highly recommend staying there.

The best feature was the friendly staff (Tess) the excellent property location, the garden setting, the size of the accommodation including the kitchen, but the accommodation was a bit old and tired, and needed a good clean, and better facilities for the weather at that time of year. Suggest don't travel July/August.

Very well located in Burnt Pine, close to most shops and eating places. Our booking, through **********, included airport transfers, a half day island tour and use of a rental car for the entire stay. Tess, the manager and Serah, her assistant offered a warm welcome and assistance during our stay. Reception is not attended 24/7. The apartments are older (1970s style and largely unchanged) with wide, shady verandas front and back, the front opening onto a large lawn, colourful gardens and swimming pool. One-bedroom apartments have a well-equipped kitchen (no dishwasher) adjacent to the living area, a separate bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Our apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a guest laundry, washer dryer and ironing facilities, $2.00 for each machine. We kept the apartment windows open night and day to get good airflow, which is essential in this humid climate. A pedestal fan provided adequate cooling on hot days and nights. The slight smell of “damp” we had noticed on entering the closed apartment disappeared quickly. The “damp” smell was present in many buildings on Norfolk. Air conditioning is very rare; both air conditioning and electric stoves have been banned because of the limited supply and high (72cents/kwh) cost of electricity. Free wifi is not provided in the apartments, global roaming is not available on Norfolk Island, so Australian mobile phones cannot be used there. Communication is best obtained by buying a prepaid data SIM card from Norfolk Island Telecom. Wifi is available in several places without charge, one of which, the Norfolk island Bowling Club, serves delicious meals. We would return to Fletcher Christian but if you want the slickest, most modern and 24 hour service, it’s not for you.

These apartments are clean, well serviced apartments. They are probably from the 70/80’s. However location is fantastic just on the edge of main shopping area, next door to RSL, so great for dining and if you take a chair and sit next to laundry you can pick up free WiFi. Our host Tess was magnificent, could do enough to help us. Laundry has washer and drier with detergent provided for gold coin donation to cover power. There is a convince store 50 m to left of the complex for most basic supplies.

These apartments are fantastic centrally located in the township. Brilliant rooms, friendly staff with lovely grounds and plenty of open space. The swimming pool is a great asset I recommend these apartments to stay whilst on Norfolk Island. A pleasurable experience.
