"Finally got to stay at the Tibetan-style courtyard guesthouse I've been dreaming of, and we're really happy with it! 😁 The owner is so nice; they helped us with our luggage even when we arrived in the middle of the night. It was raining when we came back, and they helped us move our bags from the 3rd floor down to the 1st, then back up to the 3rd. They also asked if we needed a pickup from the high-speed rail station when we arrived, and offered a drop-off service when we left, which was fantastic. The room is very spacious, the environment is great, and it's nice and warm. Five stars, highly recommend!"

"Now I totally understand why this hotel gets so much love. We stayed here for 3 night, and we really love our stay.
First, the location is perfect. you can just walk to everywhere. If you take Didi, they can drop you off in front of the entrance.
The hotel has everything you need, like floor heating, a humidifier, and even oxygen supply (which honestly saved us). The dry air and high altitude are no joke, we had AMS and nosebleeds, so this was super helpful. Also washing machine and drier is provided.
And the owner is amazingly kind and helpful. They helped with our luggage, booked tickets for us, and even arranged transportation for us to Potatso National Park.

"The owner contacted me a day in advance, and on the day of arrival, a young man named Duoji even picked me up from the high-speed train station with some Moutai! I stayed for two nights, and the owner kindly upgraded my room. I could lie on the balcony and sunbathe directly, gazing at the blue sky – it was a perfect experience. The guesthouse itself is very clean, cozy, and comfortable. When they heard my family had some altitude sickness, the front desk lady and the owner thoughtfully brought us glucose water and an oxygen concentrator. A major plus is that the hotel has dispersed oxygen, which is usually sufficient. Breakfast was incredibly rich, so much so that one person couldn't possibly finish it all!
In short, my stay was fantastic, and I'd definitely recommend it to friends. P.S. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the design and decoration of the guesthouse; next time, maybe they could give us a tour!"

"The place is bright, nice and warm in winter.Full facilities are well equipped like floor heating, heater in the shower, electronic toilet. The oxygen purifier is easy to use and well alleviate me from high altitude sickness. Especially staff are great in hospitality, as I was well welcomed by the manager who provided me with welcome drink and snacks.Kitchen staff with full hospitality is so friendly to invite me to her simple dinner, and I felt it was like home.
I love this place as it was warm at heart and also physically warm in the room."

JJocelyn.TThis is the best homestay in my trip to Yunnan. Had booked 2 rooms for my family and I understand from the staff is that these are the best 2 rooms in their property. Location is at the mid hill so can oversee the whole Old Town. Very spectacular view. Location is less 10min from the Giant Prayer Wheel.
Staff had help with luggage on our arrival and they also provided transfer to the train station on our departure.
We have welcome snacks on the day of arrival. Every day when we came back to the room, the staff had offered hot ginger tea to warm us from the cold.
The best thing is the heated floor which feels so good during the winter weather. As we had stayed over the Xmas seasons, we were very surprised by the small gifts given. There are so many good things to say about this property but writing this does not provide justice to them. Would highly recommend travelers to book this property and feel it in real life.

11391816****I originally planned to stay for two nights, but since everything was so comfortable, I extended my stay for another three nights, ending up spending my entire Shangri-La trip at this guesthouse.
The hotel sets up a dedicated service group chat, which is incredibly convenient for any requests or questions. I booked a room on the fourth floor, and when we arrived, a young man came down to meet us. Without a word, he helped us carry our two huge suitcases up to the fourth floor – seriously impressive, as I was a bit out of breath just walking up myself.
The service in all aspects was incredibly thoughtful. They provided breakfast, dinner, afternoon tea, and a late-night sweet soup, keeping us well-fed throughout the day. What made it even more enjoyable was the abundance of animals at the hotel: three adorable Alaskan Malamutes, lambs, ponies, and deer. Feeding the animals carrots every day was a lot of fun. The hotel also offers ******* costume photography services. The photos turned out beautifully, and we didn't even have to leave the hotel, with various public areas perfect for amazing shots. This place will definitely be my first choice again next time I visit Shangri-La.

Also, the hotel is absolutely fantastic! They offer breakfast, and there's a beautiful little cat. The room environment is amazing, and the facilities, amenities, and toiletries are all top-notch. They even help you carry your luggage to your room. Everyone really *has* to stay at this hotel. I'm not a fake review; I genuinely love this place!!!!!!

TTaowenlongThis was the most comfortable, best, most fully equipped, and most thoughtful guesthouse/hotel during my 13-night trip to Yunnan. It was the only place I stayed for three nights, offering incredible value for money. Located right in Dukezong Ancient City, it was very convenient for dining and strolling around.
Since it was the off-season, the guesthouse proactively upgraded us to a larger family room. It was bright and spacious, and the central air conditioning kept it super warm. For someone from the North, having heated bathrooms is a huge plus, as cold bathrooms are often a concern here. But this place had a bath heater in the bathroom, which was absolutely amazing and incredibly thoughtful! The toilets were fully smart, with heated seats. I took three comfortable showers; it was wonderful, especially since I was traveling with my mother, and I worried about her getting sick from the cold and heat at high altitude. This guesthouse completely alleviated those concerns.
They also offer pick-up service. During the pick-up, I chatted with the owner and mentioned we were worried about the cold. He immediately gave us an extra power card at the guesthouse, telling us to keep the heating on. This level of proactive service makes me want to give six stars!
To continue, every night between 9-9:30 PM, they provide yak milk with roses – incredibly attentive and thorough service. Every day when we went out, the auntie cleaned our room spotlessly. All toiletries and trash were replaced. Upon entering the room, you could smell a fresh scent of disinfectant, which was both reassuring and comforting. For those concerned about altitude sickness, they even provide an oxygen concentrator. And since constant AC can make the air dry, they also provided a dehumidifier. You could even have food deliveries sent directly to your room by writing the room number.
While the scenery during my Shangri-La trip was just okay, the accommodation during these few days was unforgettable. I highly recommend it; I truly endorse it as the best choice.

MM39045****Fantastic hotel! I couldn't wait to leave this review; I'm not sure why there are any negative ones. The service attitude was excellent, and the room was very clean and hygienic. The diffused oxygen system was so comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water, plus two sinks! You can tell the hotel truly puts effort into its service. We stayed at another hotel the first night, which didn't have diffused oxygen, and I couldn't sleep. So, we quickly looked for another hotel and found this one. We went to this hotel the next morning. They said if there was a vacant room, they'd let us check in early to rest. They also saw we arrived very early and, worried we hadn't had breakfast, thoughtfully told us to grab some breakfast first. Seriously, how can such a great hotel have bad reviews? The breakfast selection was huge, with all sorts of food options to choose from. The hotel's location is excellent, right at the East Gate of the old town, and there are pick-up points for various tour buses nearby, making it convenient to go anywhere. Some people say it's expensive, but I felt it was very good value for money, absolutely worth it! When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir, which really made us feel valued. I highly recommend everyone stay here!

**Location:** Right by the East Gate of the Old Town, super convenient. We took the No. 16 bus from the high-speed rail station, got off at Old Town Commercial Street, and it was just a few minutes' walk.
**Service:** The host's service was incredibly thoughtful. They prepared afternoon tea in advance with yogurt, butter tea, and pastries. In the evening, there was even a 'goodnight milk' with cookies.
**Facilities:** ******* style, very unique. The room had an oxygen concentrator, humidifier, and a full set of toiletries. They even provided face masks and eye masks. There's also luggage storage.
**Breakfast:** Photos P8 to P16 are all about breakfast – it was very rich and delicious!

Cleanliness: Extremely clean and tidy. Even if you're a germaphobe or sensitive to certain smells, you'll be comfortable here.
Service: The staff are gentle and the service is excellent.
Highly recommended! You must save this one.
If you're young, there's a really nice bar downstairs.
If you're a foodie, the location is superb, with everything you could want within a 1km radius.
If you're older, it's quiet and comfortable here. Wake up in the morning and gaze at the mountains – it's all-encompassing.
As for why I spontaneously changed my booking? If you truly enjoy staying in luxurious rural settings, Jianglu is nestled in the fields, but not being able to see the rooms beforehand isn't very accommodating! You could try the cafe out in the middle of nowhere, but I don't know the prices.

The inn's courtyard is spacious, featuring a unique plateau sunroom in Shangri-La. The underfloor heating maintains a constant temperature, and the oxygen equipment is also effective. Breakfast is simple but nutritious enough. The service is warm, and the inn even provided a commercial car to take us to the high-speed train station. The two cat brothers are adorable, making it a great place for cat lovers.

However, we found that the Wyndham hotel was similarly priced and included breakfast, so we switched to this one. The location is excellent, right next to a hospital, which is very convenient if anyone experiences altitude sickness. The hotel is clean and hygienic, the breakfast is plentiful, and the rooms have humidifiers, which is a nice touch.
