"The hotel is very clean and well-maintained. It's just a short walk to Daimaru and the airport bus stop, right across from Sannomiya Station. The hot springs are also great, though during my stay, some Koreans were showering very rudely, splashing water everywhere, even onto people in the pools. Very uncivilized.

"Let's talk about the facilities. Honestly, after Hilton renovated and unified several Japanese business hotel chains, the facilities and hygiene definitely feel like they've gone up a notch. Of course, the price has also gone up a notch.
The location is less than 1km from Sannomiya JR and Hanshin, so it's not really far. It's genuinely close to Ijinkan and several well-known bakeries. However, it's quite a bit further from the shopping district and the trendy cafe area by the sea. I practically walked my legs off to see the Van Gogh exhibit, so the convenience factor was a bit lacking. Still, I'd definitely want to come back to Kobe because even if I walk my legs off again, it's not that big of a city."

"Rooms are bigger than average Japanese hotels, basically a new hotel just a minute away from KOBE CHINA TOWN. Plenty of shops to enjoy food or shopping. Breakfast is a little simple Indian restaurant, nothing to choose much. Bicycles can been rent at the front desk for 500 JPY per use. Very convenient to get around the city.
Will absolutely stay here every-TIME visiting KOBE."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location right next to Sannomiya Station, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The room was a bit cramped. There were English-speaking staff at the front desk, which made communication very easy. Check-in is at 2 PM and check-out is at 12 PM, which is more convenient than other Japanese hotels. The breakfast offered a wide variety and good quality. The hotel also has fantastic views; you can see the ocean to the south and the mountains to the north, which is beautiful. It's an excellent choice for sightseeing in Kobe."

The hotel is located in Chinatown, surrounded by tons of great food options, and transportation is quite convenient.
The indoor hot spring, sauna, and bath facilities are absolutely wonderful! If you love soaking in hot springs and enjoying a sauna, you definitely shouldn't miss this. Soaking multiple times a day is pure bliss!
The staff's service attitude is great, and the hygiene and environment are also very good. Although the room size isn't large, it's really clean and tidy. The clothes and slippers provided were perfect to change into before heading straight to the bath!
Some of Kobe's attractions are also within walking distance. I highly recommend this place to all my friends!

LLaimixiOn my first visit to Kobe, I stayed at the Hotel Okura near the port. This time, I chose the Daiwa Premier in Sannomiya, and its location is fantastic – convenient for transport, shopping, and dining.
The breakfast wasn't overly extensive, but it offered both Japanese and Western options, and the taste was good. One thing that really puzzled me was the absence of boiled eggs, which is something I've never encountered in any other Japanese hotel I've stayed at.
The washing machines are modern drum types, very efficient, and even have a sanitizing function. You can pay with your phone. Even though there are only three machines, they're usually available as there aren't too many guests using them.
The separate wet and dry bathroom is excellent. Being able to soak in the bathtub every day to relieve fatigue from the day before is a huge plus for me when booking a hotel.
Overall, it's a great hotel and highly recommended. I'll most likely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Since the hotel was fully booked when we checked in, we were assigned a mountain view room and missed out on the sea view. If you're set on a sea view, I'd recommend opting for the nearby Oriental Hotel Meriken Park instead. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but what they offered was refined, with a good mix of Western and Asian options that should satisfy most tastes. What I liked most was the hotel's location, which made getting around very convenient. Plus, the room size was quite generous for a Japanese hotel, making for a comfortable and uncrowded stay. Overall, Hotel Okura Kobe is a good choice for travelers seeking convenience and comfort.

TTujinjinshuiI saw a blogger recommend this hotel online, but I was disappointed after checking in. Although it's new and well-decorated and clean, it has some significant flaws. The train noise was extremely disturbing, stopping at 11:50 PM and starting again at 6:00 AM, severely disrupting my sleep. There were also frequent sirens of police cars. While the hotel wasn't directly responsible for this, they didn't install double-glazed windows.
The tall, thin front desk clerk spoke fluent English, but her attitude was a bit arrogant. After a few questions, she became noticeably impatient, which detracted from my score. The hotel's location is inconvenient, with only one convenience store nearby and few restaurants. More dining options require a 10-minute walk across the overpass to Harborland. The hotel's own restaurant is also closed in the evenings.
This hotel is near the Anpanman Museum and is often visited by families with children. During breakfast, several groups of children were constantly making noise, which was very disturbing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it. I wouldn't stay again if I had other options.

__WeChat57961****Due to a canceled flight from Osaka to Sapporo, Trip.com rebooked us for the next day, flying from Kobe, and we stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel. It's an old, established 5-star hotel, over 30 years old. There are two daily shuttle buses to and from Osaka Kansai Airport, which is very convenient. It's right above Shin-Kobe Station, and a 20-minute walk to Sannomiya. The hotel breakfast was just okay, but the ambiance and service were excellent. Because our flight was canceled, I had to cancel a whiskey distillery tour scheduled for the next afternoon, and the hotel staff kindly helped me call the distillery to arrange that. The price was about a third of what it would cost domestically, making it fantastic value for money.

If not mistaken, the photo on the web seems not matching with the present, if that's so, would be good to up-date it.

GGuest UserThe location of Kobe Lumen Hotel is very good. It is in the city and the parking lot is easy to find. It is in the alley directly opposite the hotel and the price is reasonable. The hotel service is very good. We arrived very late and the check-in time was past, but they did not neglect us and arranged to check in immediately. When we checked out in the morning, we were 5 minutes late and they did not say anything. They were very gentle. The room was very clean and warm. The sound insulation effect was very good and suitable for living. In short, because of the comparison with the previous one, this one is simply heaven.
The only flaw is that the room is a little small. Everything else is acceptable, mainly because of the cheap price.

MmharsnI liked the room. It had a good layout and everything I needed to be comfortable. The bed and pillow were nice, and the internet speed was good. However the desk and everything on it was covered in dust. It's located between the two main train stations, but close to neither.
When I checked out, I asked to leave my bags with reception for 2 hours while I went to breakfast, but was told that only guest checking in can check their bags ☹️. I was able to leave them in the lobby, though. There is construction happening right next door, so it was a bit noisy during the day. Long waits for the elevator, which is slow and busy.
Potentially, it's a nice hotel. It just needs some improvement to the cleanliness and staff friendliness.
