This place was such a cosy, heart-warming and peaceful experience that even today I felt a 5 stars review wouldn't make it for all the kindness and attention we were met with. From the neighbours getting involved in helping us find somewhere to eat at very late in the night, to the care and attention to detail in walking with us and showing us around, talking a bit more about the village and what they were doing for the tourists, taking pictures to the sunset with us, sharing their memories and dreams, the passion the owner showed for the project and her incredible eye for decorating, I was mesmerised. It was incredible. And the place had the best fibre internet I found in all North of Portugal, hard to believe but true indeed (fast service reliable connectivity, I was so surprised). Then came breakfast and it only got better, the best fruits, the most tasty pastries, the conversation with the owner discussing her future projects for the place, I was seriously impressed and would love to return there some time soon. Please visit because the sense of peace I had when staying there and walking around the village I had not had that for decades. And then when we realised the coffee bar where we got our dinner sandwiches had no ATM service, they couldn't care less, just told us to pay it to the hotel lady and they would then speak to her at some point. Who trusts people like that these days??, definitely not in big cities, for sure. I would, however, take some real cash because it can only help you since there are no ATMs around.
