We only stayed for one night, on our way from Andalucia to Madrid. The drive up into the old town area went through some narrow streets (not too bad as compared to Arcos!). The Parador situated right in the smack of the old town centre makes it a special base to explore the area. You get to enjoy the peace and beauty after daytrippers have left, and in the wee hours of the morning you get to experience the quietness of an ancient town. This Parador is a little diffferent from the one in Cuenca, it feels more modern (although also converted from lodgings of aristocrats centuries ago), perhaps due to more modern renovation of the place. Less rustic than the one in Cuenca. Breakfast sprrad good, but lesser than compared to the ones in Cuenca. Service from the reception team was excellent and conmendable. Very much an enjoyable stay. A good choice for traveler who wants to stay in the old town area. Also, a stone’s throw away is the Michelin Three Star — would have tried had we knew this!
