Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort Reviews

There are many hotels and accommodations nearby. We paid a premium price and expected a better stay during the Christmas season. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service did not meet an acceptable standard or our expectations. We were a group of three adults. Upon check-in, we discovered that one set of towels and one cup/glass were missing. We contacted the housekeeper and reception four times before finally receiving the missing items. Later, we found ants in the tea and coffee-making area. We attempted to contact the housekeeper several times, but the line was either engaged or unanswered. We then contacted reception twice and eventually reported the issue. When the housekeeper arrived, he sprayed insect repellent directly in the area where the kettle, cups, coffee, and tea bags were located. He commented, “It’s common. It’s a tropical area.” He also left the insect repellent in the room and told us to spray it ourselves if needed.

The hotel has a great location and rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is good with a wide selection, but the restaurant’s food is overpriced and of poor quality.

nice hotel, it’s a bit humid but all good. they have free flow filtered water at the bar, check in check out smooth, nice pool.

Great pool, very clean , excellent breakfast , yummy cocktails , dinner was amazing.  Only one thing bad was the pool sun lounges, the are very uncomfortable I had to sit in a bean bag.  Just to add gluten free eating for coeliacs was great seperate toaster for breaky and freshly cooked eggs and bacon on request. Very happy !!

Nice location Spacious room for families .

The breakfast was decent with a wide western selection and a small asian section, the kids loved the nutella machine! There's waffles and pan cakes and also a salad bar. The bread selection was quite good too and a virgin blood mary!

Good hotel in cairns, generally clean and in a safe location close to transport

My first room in building C was awful with the view of the opposite hotel. I could literally watch what other people did in their room and they could watch me as well. Also the room condition was so bad with crawling insects so I needed to upgrade the room. The upgraded room was fine with a poolside view and less bugs crawling on the wooden table. I understand there could be little creatures but just too many in the first room. Other than that, their food was delicious and staffs were kind and friendly. My kid loved playing in the pool.

Pool water is not very clean. Breakfast is very basic and everyday is the same and not tasteful at all. Gym room is very small and not much facility to do the workout.

Was a very beautiful room comfy bed and I would definitely stay again

The good thing is that they have there own swimming pool and it's close to the main area.

Location is good. 20 mins from the airport. A nice pool. However the room is very damp not sure if it’s the effect of the cyclone jasper. I feel like my clothes are all damp after staying there for two days.

Novotel lagoon pool the reason we booked it. My sons loved it. Overall it was a excellent accommodation.
