Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi

I've stayed at over a dozen five-star hotels in Cairo, and this one seems to be the newest. The facilities and room size are decent. However, the front desk service is mediocre, slow, and unprofessional. The breakfast offers a good variety, but it's the same spread all year round. Personally, I don't think it's as good as the breakfast at the Four Seasons or the Kempinski. The hotel is located by the Nile, offering nice views. There aren't many shopping areas nearby, though.

Everything was excellent! Good hotel! We are from Russia! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Great service, food, and location. Everything is very convenient. It's especially good that the pyramids are nearby.

I paid for an upgrade, and the executive lounge was great – truly a sanctuary in Cairo.

Terrible check-in experience. The location is quite remote, and the front desk staff were inefficient and arrogant, possibly even discriminatory. The bedding was severely pilled, and the breakfast selection was limited and of poor quality. Overall, it's not even as good as a Hampton Inn in China, yet it charges standard five-star hotel prices. When I asked the front desk for a bottle of water, they refused and told me to buy it from the nearby restaurant. However, a different front desk staff member the next day gave me water, which clearly shows bottled water is available. The breakfast restaurant wouldn't allow me to charge to my room, even when I said I'd settle everything at check-out. They insisted on cash and gave change in Egyptian pounds when I paid in USD, with a terrible exchange rate – you decide if that's fair. My friends were able to charge their dinner to their room at the dinner restaurant, so why not breakfast? Is this even the same hotel? They insisted on checking the room at check-out, and it took an extremely long time. At check-in, they also said I needed to pay a deposit if I wanted to use the mini-bar. It felt like they treated guests as potential thieves at every turn. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. It's truly laughable to think that a place where everyone on the street is asking for 'one dollar' would still discriminate against Chinese people. Where does that confidence come from…?

Traveling with my parents, 3 adults in total, and the two 1.5-meter beds were enough. We were given a room on the 3rd floor with a partial view of the Nile, although I don't think we booked a river view room. The room was spacious enough, with a sofa and plenty of space. Facilities: Excellent, though showing a bit of age, and the bathroom fixtures are old. Cleanliness: Excellent Environment: Excellent Service: Excellent Would choose again.
