Facilities: Meets 5-star standards. USB ports are available, so no adapters needed. There's a balcony with a river view. The only downside is that the toilet is too close to the wall, making it easy to hit your head when getting up. Cleanliness: Pretty much dust-free, though there was a sandstorm just before we arrived, which might have had a slight impact, so there was a tiny bit of dust. The bathroom was clean and fine. Environment: The hotel interior and exterior are like two different worlds. The air freshener scent was a bit strong and seemed a little forced. It's not a brand-new hotel, but it's well-maintained. The building is perpendicular to the riverbank, so there are fewer rooms directly facing the river; most have a partial river view. This area along the Nile in Cairo is full of big hotels, with the St. Regis nearby. It's roughly the same distance by car to attractions on both the east and west banks, so I highly recommend staying in this area. Service: My flight arrived in the morning, and I stored my luggage. They said the room would be ready by noon. When I returned in the evening, I initially couldn't find my luggage, but then the hotel checked and said it had already been sent to the room – a false alarm. Breakfast was excellent and highly recommended.
