nice room drinks are ok,staff all friendly entertainment in the evenig ok .the big let down is the food, take note of previous reviews it is the poorest I have ever experienced. the hotel budget for food must be extremely low this review is from October 2023,but having read 2024 reviews nothing has changed

We have been visiting menorca for the past few years, we have previously stayed in other globales hotels in the area. This was our first visit to this hotel and definitely not our last.we loved everything about it , the food was fabulous and the hotel spotless. What we like about the globales brand is the amazing staff that work in the hotels. They are a credit to your company always friendly and helpful. We are hopeful visiting again in September and will be a globales hotel.Thank you to all the staff we had a wonderful time Mrs Harvey

I’ll start with what’s really good about this hotel- The cleaning staff! are a credit to the hotel, the rooms were very clean and ready on arrival, the toilets on site always maintained to a good standard. The loungers around the pool were quite grubby but this was because of your typical pool ‘lounger hogging’ behaviour during the early hours of the morning when the cleaners jet hose the rest of the loungers and were too polite to remove them. The reception staff are also very nice and the evening bar staff. The location- there is a cove (very busy) and bars a short walk away and a bus that stops outside the hotel back gates to citaduella. Be careful what times you go as there are a set number of buses a day and reception staff didn’t know much about them. We had a pool facing balcony and it faced the sun almost all day it was lovely, I’ve seen other people complain about pool music but we went in July and there was no music whatsoever all day. The evening entertainment was on until about 10.30 most evenings and you could hear that as the rooms have no soundproofing. It’s more of an issue that you have to wake up when the neighbouring guest does for their early flight in my opinion. Now for the bad, Oh the food. The reason you see it on nearly all reviews is because it really is THAT bad. The food I had here is possibly the worst I’ve ever had anywhere and after a week it really changed our mood in the heat of July. We ate out for a few days but like most people who go AI we were sadly doing it on a budget. I’m not a fussy eater but there were dishes put out that just didn’t taste or look right at all. Pool bar is your usual stuff, the ice cream is good! The breakfast is okay, we met a couple a few days into our stay who recommended we fill up on pastry’s and fruit at breakfast bc dinner was so terrible and they were so right! The one day we were off on an excursion and we didn’t finish all of the breakfast, rather than waste the pastry my partner had on his plate (we were aware of the no food taken from the restaurant policy) we asked the waiter who was usually very nice if we could wrap it up for our excursion and he shouted at us in the middle of the restaurant and angrily pointed to the sign. We were aware of the sign which is why we thought to ask first and he could’ve just said no there was no need for his manner. He put it in the bin which was actually quite horrible and embarrassing but sad knowing this hotel would just waste food, we have asked hotels in menorca before and they’ve provided us a lunch to take! His attitude changed toward us after that and we avoided him daily. The drinks at the bar are ok but beware they are not all included in your package and it wasn’t made clear which ones were free either. The Pool- This isn’t a huge hotel and I think they need to work on their sunlounger policy, there were people putting towels on a lounger and then not using it all day then doing it the day after too. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, beautiful location. The food quality let it down. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Lunch and Dinner was a good choice of salad and the rest was fish and the other meat dishes that weren't always obvious as to what it was. Not everything was labelled. What wasn't eaten was reused at other sittings. Or sent over over to the "snack bar" The snack bar had not one label (which made a bit of a problem when it comes to distinguishing what was onion rings or calamari rings etc. food was often dried out. A hamburger my husband went to eat was raw in the middle. Bread and the bread rolls were so hard they could almost break your jaw if not your teeth. The restaurant was very very clean. Hold on to your plates if you are nearly finished as they will be whipped away the second you look away. Evening entertainment well..... Very underwhelming, a magician that would be great at a kids party. Singers who shout and screech. The pools was really cold (we did hear it was because they had only just filled it up for the start of the season). The whole area was spotless. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfy, there are thin duvets in the wardrobe if the two sheets aren't enough. The bathroom is spotless, BUT you can hear other people having a shower and other bathroom activities through the vent in the corner. The TV has three English channels which are hit and miss depending on the signal. Not a smart TV so casting from another device is not an option. Not a massive issue but it would be nice to watch something when relaxing before dinner time. There is a safe in the wardrobe where you can hire the key for around €5 a day. There are some shops in walking distance. If you walk past the first two and keep going there is a little area with some shops and restaurants. These shops are cheaper than the two next to the hotel. There is a bus stop right outside the pool side entrance that takes you Citudella hourly. A great time was had but seriously let down by the food. (Which seems to be a lot of reviews and not being addressed). Close by is a little cover which is lovely for watching a beautiful sunset.

A beautiful hotel. Kept spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing. Definitely caters more towards the French or Spanish. A lot of dishes were cold and unappetising. The same dished appeared to be recycled between the main restaurant and snack bar. Bread rolls were so stale you could smash a window with them. Salad was lovely. Huge selection of deserts. Very poor labelling of food. Entertainment was underwhelming. Definitely aimed at the more senior generation (over 80’s). We didn’t have children with us but would not recommend for young families. We went to Jenny’s for a meal one evening and the food was lovely, would also recommend The Blarney Stone for a nice meal and perfect place to watch the sunset. It is a very quiet resort, but perfect for unwinding.

PLEASE AVOID IF YOU ARE DISABLED I have previously stayed at this holiday but I had booked to stay in September 2024 but I am disabled and I contacted both the tour company & the hotel directly to request a room with a walk in shower. The hotel refused to reserve a room for me, their response is “we can only allocate a room on arrival “ If you like me are disabled and are unable to use a step over bath shower please do not book this hotel!!

Clean, comfortable and affordable. Lots of variety in the restaurant, friendly staff and plenty of sunbeds. Rooms were spacious and clean. Only thing I can fault is the location as there isn’t much around, but the hotel has everything you need if you didn’t want to leave the grounds. Good range of drinks and even a snack bar in the pool area. Family friendly & couple friendly. Would return!

An absolutely fabulous hotel. Excellent facilities, good food and extremely attentive staff. The hotel was spotless and swimming pool had lifeguards. The beach was a short walk from the hotel along with shops.
