Bluesea Cala Millor

Amazing place if you’re coming only to chill, but as a solo traveler it wasn’t the best choice as there isn’t that much to do around the hotel. The hotel itself is amazing tho! Amazing food and service. (Mostly elderly btw if you’re young this isn’t the place to be)

We arrived in the middle of the night and received a warm welcome after check in, we went in to the restaurant where there were some breads, cold meats and cheeses and fruit left out to have a bite to eat. There was also soft drinks, wines and lager available. Our room was in block 1 on the 3rd floor with a view of the street behind. A fairly spacious room with a small bathroom with walk in shower. The room was very clean and. Also had a nice balcony with 2 chairs, table and drying rack attached to the wall. The hotel is very noisy, there doesn’t seem to be anything to stop the sound from travelling, so you can hear doors closing and locking, people talking and walking, the lift etc. we are quite heavy sleepers so this was only a problem for us on the first night, but if you are a light sleeper you may have a problem. The lifts are small but quick and they aren’t busy so there was never a problem calling one. The dining room is bright and spacious with a lovely outside eating area, there are numerous small birds here who will steal your food from the table, if you leave it unattended, but of course, this is beyond the hotel’s control. The food at breakfast was the usual continental with some hot items. The food varied daily, there was always breads, different bread rolls, salads, chips, soup, pasta etc and maybe a meat and a fish. Puddings were very limited, although one evening there was a chocolate fountain with sweets and fruit for dipping. Mostly the quality of the food is quite poor, this is the only thing that really lets the hotel down, but you will always find something to eat, I ate mostly chips, bread and salad. The all inclusive drinks choice isn’t vast, but they pour good measures and it more than covered our needs. The hotel is very close to a lovely beach and even closer to the main town shops and bars. The pool area does get very busy, but we managed to get a bed at about 9.30am on the days we weren’t at the beach. Overall, a nice hotel, close to the town and beach. If the food standard improved we would return to this hotel, but unfortunately for us, the food is a deal breaker, as even though the hotel is good for a budget hotel, we have never had such poor food anywhere else.

We stayed in room 2203 block 2 which is across the road from the main hotel and amenities. Bedrooms advertised for this hotel are bright and vibrant the complete opposite to what we received (? false advertising as I’ve since seen the same photograph used to advertise a sister hotel). Our room was very dated and clearly in need of an upgrade. The air conditioning unit barely worked causing the room to be unbearably hot and uncomfortable (the mosquitoes were thriving and we were bitten multiple times). The toilet flush broke on Sunday evening and despite reporting this immediately to reception staff it wasn’t repaired and we were left in a room without a flushable toilet. We reported the issue again the following morning however the staff were unconcerned and seemed confused as to why we were reporting the issue twice.

We have just returned from this hotel. We booked with On The Beach. We arrived at the hotel after travelling from the airport for just under 2 hours. We could hear the music from the street as we approached the hotel. The reception was bright and airy. We were checked in quickly, paid our tourist tax, had our passports scanned and given the cards for our room. We were directed to block 2 which is across the road. When we arrived at our room we were disappointed to see the room was not as the photos show on the brochure we used to book with (see photos) The room was clean but it was very tired, very basic, the wardrobe smelt fousty (we kept it open all week), the bathroom is in need of maintenance (it’s an over the bath shower) the glass door is secured to the side of the bath so if you have mobility issues you might struggle to climb in. The bottom of the bath is very stained from what can only be described as dirty feet marks. (See photos). The balcony was a stone wall in front of you, not glass as advertised which was very tired with 2 chairs and a table that has been well used. The wall was used as an ashtray by the previous guests. (See photos). We went back to reception and asked for this to be addressed, this didn’t happen. The restaurant is spacious enough, the staff were very attentive and the chefs could be seen checking regularly. The food was basic, buffet food, if you want a full dinner not buffet you’ll be better off going out. Food overall not great but manageable if you like buffet. The all inclusive food operates during set times, food or snacks aren’t available all day, the bar is available until 11pm all inclusive. The location is great. You can see the beach and blue water from the hotel. It’s a very short walk (2 mins) to the vast selection of shops/bars/restaurants and beach. Overall this hotel needs maintenance and sorting out, very poor in block 2. If you are happy with stag/hen style parties, budget, basic and bland this is for you. In my opinion give it a wide berth!!

Can't fault the place,room is o good size,bathroom a little small but otherwise good and clean,great shower,food is tasty,a little limited selection but good none the less,staff friendly,poolside clean and litter free,pay 1 euro for your tumbler which I thought is a great idea as no glasses left lying around and you get refunded when hand glass back,can't understand the negative comments from what I saw,you but 3 star expect 3 star and not the ritz,tour holiday is what you make it,if returning to the area wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Great hotel, food was a bit average as there wasn’t much variety but then again everyone’s different. Cleaners also didn’t knock before they came in but when they did come in they didn’t clean much. Also one of the cleaners took one of our keys to the room which was strange but other than that it was brilliant

This has been the best holiday by far, I have had the most fun and there was so much going on ELENA was absolutely amazing and made sure we had the best time every single day and and was a pleasure to speak to, would definitely come back! Best holiday ever!

We visited last year and loved it so much we decided to come back again but with friends this time. Location is great lots of shops close by and a beach just down the road. Entertainment was lovely live music etc. Elena was amazing she made sure we were having a good time everyday. Nice choices of food Only thing that would improve this is if drinks were included in all inclusive when enjoying the entertainment in the building across the road as it’s the same hotel

Good and Bad to this hotel. Arrived at 2am and it was lovely to be offered a cold buffet and drinks before heading to our room. A lovely touch! The hotel has 4 buildings meaning you have to cross the road to get to your room if you are in block 2 or 3. We stayed in block 2 first floor - a basic but very clean room. The balcony was huge. Great for sitting watching the world go by. If you want to make the most of your all inclusive drinks package for a boogie on the balcony. As is right on top of a Cocktail bar that provides some fab entertainment. But, the cocktail bar is not part of the hotel and you have to pay for drinks but has the same name so got really confused at first when got charged. The best part of the hotel is location. Central to everything about 20 walk to Cala Bona or around €5 in a taxi. Beach is 30 second walk away and shops/bars galore left and right. Staff all seemed friendly enough. Food is really hit and miss on different days one day enjoyed every meal offered on others not great. So we did eat out as-well. Glad we only stayed for 4 nights. Restaurant was fresh and clean and a nice setting for your meals tho. No entertainment at all which was very disappointing, didn’t really get the use out of all inclusive offered as went out at night. Pools are small but nice. Only spent one day around the pool, beds do get taken quickly at pool bar pool, but pool at the back of building two seems quieter. Sadly, I will not be returning, but it’s a 3 star hotel it was a cheap little couple days in the sun.
