We had a weeks stay at Sol Falco, initial impressions of the Hotel seemed good however there were a few issues, This place doesn't cater for Vegetarians, there were no options for a hot meal without meat or fish,my Husband who does eat meat said the meat was undercooked, food wasn't warm either,I spent the whole week having salad because there was no alternative for me. Our room was ok however there was toothpaste of the bathroom wall from the previous guests, the toothpaste stayed there the whole time we were there, our towels were changed daily and beds made but the bedding wasn't changed for cleaning all week, other than that I don't think anything got cleaned, the floor was dusty and the shower wasn't cleaned, apart from the sink which seemed to have been wiped,We were woken every night by the boiler which was right next to our room (not what you want when you're on holiday trying to relax) This place needs another bar,it can't possibly cater for the number of guests, the bar staff didn't have alot of knowledge regarding Cocktails, but if you tell them how to make them they'll do it,the bar staff were quite friendly, especially Pepe,Manu,Angel (or maybe Angelo) and an older guy who we didn't get his name always up for a laugh, asked everyone if they want Whiskey. We didn't let these issues spoil our holiday and we still enjoyed ourselves but unfortunately wouldn't return again.

Overall good stay, the hotel itself is clean and rooms are nice with good bathroom facilities, staff all round the hotel were lovely and helpful. We had to move rooms due to ants and it was no trouble with reception. Our son loved kids club and the entertainment staff were lovely..Pool area lovely and clean and no trouble getting sunbeds anytime of day. Beware of big pools both over 6ft we seen 3 kids have to be rescued by life guard on our last day as they came off slides. Food was a let down for us although there is selection it's all random foods we ate out 5 nights out of 7. Plenty of restaurants in Marina and down by beach though. Overall hotel is great for families just be open of food options

Nice location but apart from few supermarkets (which all are selling the same stuff) there is not much going on for kids. Park is very poor (2 swings and one slide between all the kids in this huge hotel). Cleanliness is questionable- not once have I seen the staff jet wash the sun loungers and the pool area after people have been sweating on it all day.... rubbish from the day before still present in the pool side area and bird poop all over the loungers. Rooms are very average but beds are very uncomfortable and sliding all over the floor at night as they are on wheels !!! Food - way below average.... the allergen signs displayed above the dishes are not up to date and some list allergens as present but then the chef confirms otherwise and says the list is wrong and not up to date on some dishes. Very confusing and dangerous but also limiting because unless you ask the chef himself , you won't know what's safe to eat if you're allergic and end up eating plain pasta and fruit all week. I found that with my soy allergy I was literally very limited as there are only few choices and no soy free deserts at all! There was no dairy alternatives either. All in all very limited food compared to other hotels we have been to on holiday. Also the staff are literally pouncing on your tables to grab the plates and glasses and the put their hands all over it before asking if you're finished. We found it rude and unpleasant to deal with every meal time. For the cost of this holiday we were expecting much more. But also I believe the hotel has advertised their pool area in a very misleading way. The lovely slides you see in photos which are meant for kids are absolutely useless for kids who can't swim or are younger than 10 ! All slides lead into a 2 meter deep water!!! Why ?? All pools are absolutely way too deep, and completely not suitable for families with small kids. Little splash pool area for toddlers is ok but not above average. We definitely won't be returning.

As I'm writing this I am still here....upon arriving my First impressions was what a nice looking hotel it was....reception were very helpful and polite which to me is a good sign. Pleasantly surprised to find WiFi and air conditioning are free. Our room was nice and we have a lovely balcony view of the pool's, sunbeds are plentiful so no rush to get one . Staff are great and so happy ,and the kids are kept entertained . Rooms are cleaned every day. The food in my opinion is very good and each day there's a good choice .I really can't understand why there is bad reviews ...I would say take no notice of them, this is a lovely hotel and will definitely be returning! Sol falco you should be proud of your staff and your hotel !

We stayed here for a week recently and found it a really positive experience! The room was nice and comfortable and cleaned daily etc. The pool was great, clean and great for kids with the splash pad and little pool. There was plenty of sun loungers and places to sit. The little park was great for kids, as was the mini disco at night where the entertainment team did a great job! We never stayed for the night shows but they seemed to be popular! We always found the food good, as vegetarians we expected to struggle a bit as we usually do in Spain but we always found lots of options which surprised us! We never struggled to get something and the food we had was always lovely ! The snack bar was also good if you didn’t want to use the restaurant for lunch. The lobby is big and clean and the hotel grounds are lovely! We would stay again!

The negative reviews all have an element of truth in our experience, the food on our first night was very disappointing but after that the choice and quality improved and was some very nice food options on an evening during the rest of our week. Breakfast was fine, if you're expecting the full English you're used to (assuming you're English) you will be very disappointed. But there were other options we enjoyed, we never had lunch in the restaurant, using the snack bar which was basic and sandwiches could be a little past their best, but there was chicken which looked better than the burgers. Some food was cold in the restaurant but, on the occasions there were sausages they were nice, bacon not so much. Overall we thought it was mainly ok. The entertainment staff were very good, Leti was brilliant with kids and adults as were all the entertainment crew. Bar service was ok, reception was good and entertainment on an evening was ok. There was nothing much of interest in the local area, lighthouse area and Cala en Bosch itself we found boring although a nice little harbour for drinks and meals away from the hotel. LaFontana was great, good food and service. Cuitadella was nice and worth a look round and we had some beautiful walks along the coast which were the highlight for us. If we were to come to Menorca again I think we'd stop near Mahon, apparently there is a beautiful nature reserve there. The island is very popular with walkers and cyclists so if this is something yoi enjoy then this is a great place.

Mixed reviews on this place but I'll start with the negatives in the hope I can end on a positive. So the worst part of this place for us was the food, unfortunately I could not see past this or even make excuses for the awful food experience. Breakfast was just terrible. I am one of those that will try everything until I find something I like. The full English was just awful, I am by no means a fussy eater but this was the worst breakfast ever!! The fried eggs were constantly raw in the middle and stone cold. Bakery section is probably the safest bet although sometimes stale. There is a good variety of food but even the fruit tasted gone off and had a weird taste. Lunch was not alot better again I tried everything but food always cold and lacks any kind of flavour, dinner same!! Totally disappointed as had to eat out everyday as we really could not cope with the awful food here so ended up spending alot more money than we should have. On the grounds of the food I will not return. Swimming pools were way to deep including kids pools, there was a splash area you can walk through but if you have a child that does not enjoy huge amounts of water in their face then don't use. My child is fairly confident in pools with armbands but the main pools just totally freaked her out and myself as not a strong enough swimmer to hold her up when I'm nowhere near touching the floor. Lifeguard could see this and advised we use the smaller pools dotted around the site as they are quieter and not as deep, we took his advise and enjoyed some lovely swims, although the people laying around the smaller pools did not appreciate us turning up with a child !! So lots of looks and made to feel like we shouldn't be there!! On our last day in the quiet pool the life guard came over and told us he had a phonecall about my daughter being in the quiet pool and that we need to be quiet!! She is 5 years old and was floating around with me and her Dad talking at a normal voice range. This outraged me as it ruined her last swim and upset her as she really had done nothing wrong so all in all pools are not family friendly unless you go to the main pools which are far to deep and unmanageable fir non swimmers. Lastly we had so many key issues had to keep going all the way down to reception to change the key not great when dragging ypur tired kid around dripping wet after swimming or beach days etc. The complex itself is well maintained and clean and really pretty and charming for nice strolls, i loved this side of it, very well looked after. The cleaners were great they came in daily and ours was very friendly and worked hard. Entertainment was good, varied every night we enjoyed some good shows and the entertainment staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Location was pretty good close to super markets and 10 minutes walk dwn to harbour and restaurants. I found all the staff to be happy and helpful excluding the one lifeguard on the last day. Such a shame that the food has f

Although we have stayed at this small hotel for many years and have had very enjoyable holiday this year was different, when we arrived at the hotel they weren’t expecting us so had to find us a different room to the one we had booked,we had paid for a junior suite but had to stay in a standard room for 2 nights,we didn’t make any fuss and accepted a breakfast & lunch for what we thought was complimentary for the inconvenience caused ,unfortunately the hotel thought this compensated us for the different room that they had had payment for!!!! Now I have worked in retail for 40years and never treated my customers in this way!!! My husband and I are very sad to say we won’t be returning to la Quinta or indeed recommending them as we have in the past !!!
