JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa

We just got back home. The hotel and service were truly excellent – everything was beautiful, and the rooms were impressive. However, this isn't really a family-friendly hotel. It's more suited for couples or families with toddlers, as children over 5 might find it boring here. The kids' club is small and geared towards very young children. They have a mini slide and a warm (even hot) pool. Do note that the hotel is mostly filled with Korean guests. There's a teen room with two arcade machines, foosball, and a PS5. Breakfast: I really enjoyed the breakfast – high-quality products, delicious cappuccinos, smoothies, and fresh juices. Having stayed at the 'Aquamarine' hotel before, I have a good basis for comparison. Dining: The hotel only offers breakfast. There are three restaurants on site: an Italian one by the sea, a seafood restaurant, and a Vietnamese one. Approach the kids' menu with caution – it's very limited and mainly caters to Korean tastes. Prices can also be a bit disappointing: there's a 23% service charge and tax that isn't listed on the menu, only on the final bill. The Italian restaurant is lovely, and the sound of the sea in the evening at sunset is amazing. I recommend trying the truffle pizza, pasta, burger, and Iberico pork – they're truly delicious. The only thing I didn't particularly like were the cocktails at the beach bar. Activities: The hotel offers yoga classes with an excellent instructor – pure relaxation, followed by Tabata. However, you need to request the schedule upon check-in as it's not provided upfront. There are also paid pottery classes. There's a rafting experience, which is very long and enjoyable. A special highlight is the private beach, with few people and super clear water. To sum up, the hotel is new and stands out from other hotels in Cam Ranh. We've stayed at many hotels, and they all seemed old and not very appealing. The JW Marriott is truly great, and I loved it. I would return, but only with my husband, as our child might get bored here. It's a place for complete relaxation and a private getaway. They always provide plenty of bottled water, and the room is tidied up again in the evening with various complimentary amenities. I was delighted by these small touches. The shampoo and conditioner were excellent; they made my hair feel like silk.

This hotel is brand new, and the room decor is excellent with no strange odors. The breakfast was also very good, and the service staff were pleasant. The pool is beautiful, and there's a lazy river with complimentary inner tubes. The beach is huge and exclusive to hotel guests, with two lifeguards on duty. We had a great time playing in the waves, which were a bit big – I'd recommend bringing a life buoy to fully enjoy the seaside. Since the hotel is so new, there's no shuttle service yet, and they can't exchange Vietnamese Dong. The hotel mentioned these services would be available soon, and I hope they are by next year. Overall, we had a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Traveling during the May Day holiday, even though the hotel was fully booked, it didn't feel crowded.

Conversely, JW Marriott's dining options seem a bit limited. For lunch, only Western cuisine is available; dishes are exquisite but small in portion, and pricey. It prioritizes aesthetics over taste, leaning towards 'pretty food'. The breakfast comparison is particularly stark: The Westin’s breakfast spread is incredibly rich, covering Western, Korean, Japanese sushi, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Western desserts. JW Marriott only offers Western, Chinese, Vietnamese, and basic desserts, with no Korean or Japanese cuisine, even lacking kimchi, a favorite among Korean guests. 🚫 The most detrimental aspect to the experience is the barbecue smoke in the breakfast area 🍖. The smoke permeates the entire restaurant, instantly making the fresh air cloudy, and leaving a pungent smoky smell on clothes and hair, significantly reducing comfort. This is arguably the biggest flaw in the breakfast experience. Considering only the dining and entertainment facilities, JW Marriott indeed falls short of The Westin. Yet, why do guests who prefer understated luxury still firmly choose JW? Because 'old money' doesn't consume hardware; they value service, ambiance, emotional value, and absolute privacy. Quietness is the most expensive luxury. JW's service is impeccably refined and respectful. Guests don't need to queue at the front desk for check-in; they can relax in the lounge while a butler, kneeling discreetly, handles the formalities with grace. After completion, a staff member escorts guests with their luggage to their room, meticulously introducing the facilities. Throughout, guests feel respected, cared for, and undisturbed. In contrast, The Westin’s service leans more towards standardized procedures, lacking a certain empathy and warmth, always maintaining a degree of distance from the guests. True discreet luxury is never defined by bustling facilities or abundant food. What the old-money crowd seeks is the quality of material things and absolute spiritual freedom. This resort is the best I've ever stayed at. The breakfast and rooms were both excellent, and the burger at the beach bar was absolutely superb. I definitely want to visit again.

The best discovery in Nha Trang! We stumbled upon it by chance and absolutely loved the service, excellent breakfast, and beautiful grounds. It was my child's birthday, and they decorated the room wonderfully, with so many thoughtful touches. Even though we usually don't visit the same place twice, this is definitely a hotel we'd love to return to. It's about a 30-minute taxi ride to the city.

Perhaps because it's new, it was very clean. The water quality was better than other accommodations, and the private pool was an added bonus.

The hotel is really new and beautiful, especially the lush green lawn which is so therapeutic. The green coverage is extensive, and the beach water is crystal clear. You can just relax and unwind at the hotel all day. The breakfast is abundant. I will definitely come again next time.
