The Fellows House Cambridge, Curio Collection by Hilton

This was the largest room I stayed in during my UK trip. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to Trinity College and King's College in Cambridge city center. The area around is very quiet, and there's a supermarket about 100 meters away, so you can buy groceries and cook your own meals. There are also fast-food burger places nearby. Transportation is very convenient; you can take bus route 1 from Cambridge train station and it drops you right at the hotel entrance. When I first checked in, I found the cleanliness a bit lacking, especially the long sofa. However, after exploring the Cambridge University area, I realized that the entire Cambridge seems to have this damp, slightly old-fashioned feel. The shower was very comfortable, and the bathroom was also super spacious.

The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The hotel offers an underground car park and a laundry room, which is very convenient. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the quality was good for both. The location is great, just about a 10-minute walk to Cambridge.

The hotel facilities are very complete and new. The front desk staff, especially Vanessa, was very professional and enthusiastic. She patiently introduced the hotel's amenities and arranged for a late check-out. The steak at the hotel restaurant was also quite good.

The showerhead was dirty, and the cups looked like they hadn't been properly washed – I didn't dare use them. The electric kettle was also very dirty, so I definitely couldn't use that either. The heating seemed broken; the room was constantly at 28 degrees, which was very hot, stuffy, and dry. I talked to the hotel staff, and all they did was send up two fans. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
