"I'd forgotten what I had booked when we arrived at Hotel Meira as it had been five months since making the booking, I was very pleased with my choice, the quality of the property, reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was facing in towards the inner courtyard so it was peaceful, it was a great night sleep. I enjoyed having a soak in the bath after a long day of walking on the camino. The toiletries were of a good quality. The king size bed was super comfortable, we enjoyed having the additional seating of a sofa for relaxing with a cuppa from the tea/coffee in-room facilities. Breakfast was plentiful with a good range of hot and cold food: bacon, sausage, eggs, baked beans, a variety of cereals, breads, pastries, custard tarts, fruit, cold meats and cheese, crepes, juices, yoghurts, tea/coffee. Delicious. I particularly loved the greek yoghurt and stewed apple with cinnamon. The hotel can get busy with bus tour groups, it is recommended you think carefully about your time of breakfast to avoid peak times. The hotel is well placed, a short walk away from cafes, bars, the beach and the train station."

"I was on holiday with family and friends. We were ebiking to Santiago, Spain. We were running low on batteries and stopped in Vila Praia de Ancora, Viana do Castelo District, Northern Portugal. Where we found kindness at the Albergaria Quim Barreiros. I asked about renting a couple of hours of “charging time” for our batteries. The nice lady at the desk called her supervisor, who then allowed us to charge our bike batteries for free. I didn’t get to stay here, but definitely will the next time!"
