"I originally booked an apartment on BOOKING, but found it was cancelled for no reason the day before check-in, so I booked AC Hotel on Ctrip. The hotel is very good, the front desk staff is very friendly and speaks good English. There is a large shopping mall and a large supermarket next to the hotel, which is convenient for shopping. It is about a 5-minute walk from the Stadium subway station, which is convenient for travel. The room is very quiet and the facilities are relatively new."

"The streets were very run-down. We arrived quite late, and there were four or five men gathered at the intersection. Even the taxi driver wasn't comfortable with us and only dropped us off at the hotel entrance. (Cars can't drive right to the entrance; you have to walk about 50 meters.) The hotel was unmanaged. They insisted on sending an email to them; emails sent to QQ accounts bounced back immediately. Only emails sent via Gmail worked. They asked you to fill out all your passport information, and once approved, they sent you the room number and password. The hotel has no elevator, so don't consider it if you have heavy luggage. Surprisingly, the room was quite clean, although very small."

"Very good rooms, at a reasonable price in Porto, and very well attended. It is on the outskirts, next to the train station, but a taxi to the center costs €4 or a 20-minute walk. Everything is very clean and well placed. The only drawback is the lack of an elevator, in case someone cannot climb a few stairs, be warned. Otherwise, a perfect place to sleep during your visit to Porto. Recommendable."

"They gave me the room in 1st floor. It has so bad & strong smell in the washroom. I couldn’t sleep at 1st night. I complained of it, and staff said it’s ok if you closed door hahaha. And keep saying can’t change now as it’s full. Doesn’t make sense cause I didn’t see many people like that in the hotel. Anyway I keep complaining next day and they changed the room but it’s in same floor. Same smell so I gave up. I think they need do something to get rid of that smell. I paid more for staying hotel but feel like It was not hotel. When I came back to Canada after vacation, I heard that some hotels assign the lower floor only for Asian (It makes sense cause I had 3 hotels while traveling to Portugal, all of my rooms are in 1st floor. Is it coincidence?). I will not think of it anymore as it makes me a little sad. But this hotel need to do something for it."

"I travel from Malaysia to Europe all the way by train, please watch my YouTube Lonely Railway Explorer to know more. Before I booked this hotel, I read a lot of negative reviews in Trip.com, but I know all of the bad reviews are nonsense. As a professional traveller, I responsible to say, this hotel are worth of money, this room rate with private bath room, double bed, even they prepared safe for guests, and the cleanliness are 9/10, and just opposite the railway station, metro, location 10/10. If you stay here, I recommend you have your meal at restaurant just next-door before here, Churrasqueira da Estação de Campanhã, the grill and the rice you definitely need it, especially if you're Asian, but non halal. I will rate this hostel 9/10, because no hairdryer, and the bed sheet got smell, I think is because no sunlight. And the front desk family super kind."

"The owner is kind and nice. ^^ I didn't understand English very well, but he translated it for me and explained it to me, which was really appreciated. Room 1, where I stayed, was so humid and moldy that it was difficult. What was even more troubling was that when I turned on the light in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I had to catch a baby cockroach and throw it in the toilet. It was horrible. It's not every weekend, but last night, the restaurant across the street was full of people drinking and talking all night, so it was really, really tough. Don't expect breakfast. However, the 24-hour kitchen is a plus, as you can buy your own ingredients and cook your own meals. Of course, you have to wash the dishes yourself."
