Hotel Villetta Maria Cottage

In the 10 years I've been coming to this place, I've never had a doubt that I feel better than at home. The food and staff are excellent, always available to meet the customer's every whim. The rooms are very welcoming and clean. If you're looking for relaxation with your family and four-legged friends, I highly recommend it! For those who love hiking, there are trails that connect you everywhere, and the bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the property (so you can forget about using your car). I'll continue to return every year because, as I repeat, I feel better than at home.

We only stayed one night, but it was enough. The hotel is nice from the outside and has a beautiful view, but otherwise, I'd say it was a terrible experience. Poor quality food, very cold staff (except for a few), dated room overlooking the outside wall and the kitchen, and the value for money was absolutely terrible. We definitely won't be returning.

The Villetta Maria Cottage is a hotel for those who love tranquility and nature. It looks like a mountain cabin, with wooden interiors and room furnishings. It's a three-star establishment, in keeping with the typical characteristics of a hotel of this type. Yes, there are some improvements that could be made, but the location makes up for it. It's the ideal place to spend a holiday away from the hustle and bustle, lulled by the sound of four waterfalls visible from the hotel.

Hotel Villetta Maria Cottage... what can I say? Stunning location, excellent service, courtesy, and hospitality, perfectly represented by Gaetano and Gennaro (in alphabetical order!), who add that extra touch of warmth that never hurts! See you soon, Rossano, Monica, Francesco, and Davide.

Let's just say the location isn't central... almost 7 km from the center, so you'll need a car to get around. However, it's nice to be immersed in the woods and have imposing mountains in front of you. Upon entering, you get the impression of a "guesthouse" or old hotel, but the welcome is still good. The room was really large... actually, two rooms, and in one, a walk-in closet and a small balcony, unfortunately too close to the other rooms and without a view... it had part of the roof in front. The room was clean, the furnishings were old, and there were some things in need of updating in the bathroom. For shower gel/shampoo, only uncomfortable plastic sachets. We had half board. The food was good, you choose your choice beforehand by filling out a form and you have a salad buffet, a first course, a second course, and a dessert/fruit buffet. I didn't like the latter very much. The breakfast was good, the prices very good.

4-night stay from February 7 to February 11. Lights and shadows. Nice hotel, spacious rooms well-equipped with furniture and wardrobes, comfortable beds, slightly dated but functional bathroom. Secluded location in the woods with a view of the Marmolada. Unfortunately, in winter, Canazei is not easily accessible on foot except via the main road (7 km!!!). Private shuttle to the ski lifts. Friendly and always helpful staff, both at the table and at the bar. Comfortable common areas. Really small indoor spa, reservation required. Outdoor spa available for a fee (a few euros), but not indicated in the brochures. Simple cuisine, but well-prepared and varied dishes. Rich breakfast buffet. Shadows: a few hours before our arrival (booked and paid in full in September with ***********) we received an email!!!!! informing us of the hotel change!!!! Same hotel chain (Union Hotels Canazei), same category, in Canazei, on the main road, with terrible reviews. Immediately called asking for an explanation and categorically refusing the change. After persistent complaints, threatening various lawsuits, we were confirmed as being at our original destination. The behavior was unacceptable, both in terms of manner and timing. So, beware of the hotel chain's management, which has nothing to do with the local management of the hotel.
