The hotel is in a nice location, close to restaurants and the main activity areas. There is plenty of free parking available, which was very convenient.
However, there are a few drawbacks worth noting. There was no coffee provided in the room, which was disappointing. I also had a fall at a nearby shopping center and asked the hotel staff if they had a band-aid, but they didn’t have any basic first-aid supplies on hand.
Additionally, there were quite a few lizards around the hotel premises, including the car park and common areas. While the hotel does have signs stating that it is "lizard-friendly," it might be uncomfortable for some guests who aren’t used to seeing them.
Overall, it’s an okay place if you don’t mind the lizards and bring your own coffee.

Selina Hotel may have an older appearance, but its charm lies in its exceptional service, prime location, and welcoming atmosphere. The staff’s friendliness truly enhances the stay, making guests feel at home. The property itself is spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and explore. Conveniently located just three minutes from a grocery store, it provides easy access to essentials.
One delightful surprise? The abundance of iguanas roaming the grounds, adding to its unique character! Plus, with plenty of restaurants nearby, guests have great dining options just a short stroll away. The hotel is only 3-4 minutes from the lively Coco Bongo and just 5-10 minutes from the beach—making it an ideal spot for those looking to enjoy the best of the area.
If you're looking for a great experience with warm hospitality, prime location, and a touch of local charm, this hotel is a solid choice.

Selina Cancun Laguna is in a fantastic spot—close to the beach and right in the heart of the hotel zone, but still feels peaceful. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the overall vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a solid choice for travelers looking for a good mix of fun and relaxation.

I had a really nice stay at Nilu Cancún by Selina! 🌴 The location is perfect — right in the hotel zone, close to the beach and bus stops. The vibe was super chill, and I met some amazing travelers in the dorm. The beds were comfortable and had privacy curtains, which I really appreciated. Everything was clean, including the bathrooms and common areas.
The staff were kind and helpful, always smiling and ready to give local tips. The pool area and coworking space were also great for relaxing or getting some work done. I’d definitely stay here again — it’s a good mix of comfort, community, and good energy. ✨

We had a nice deal for eight nights for a meeting held in Cancun conference center, which is just 3 minute walk from the hotel. The location is very nice and it is also easy to walk to the beach. The facility is a bit old. The staffs are helpful.

Near Coco bongo, near beach and near restaurants. Has lake in front and sea by 5 mins walking. Swimming pool is not deep.
