Logis le Fleuray

Recently took a group of friends/customers & stayed 5 nights. Hotel is lovely,very good restaurant for both dinner & breakfast. Excellent & friendly owners,lovely rooms (garden rooms)& great swimming pool. A little remote yet an ideal base for touring this part of the Loire Valley.

This is a really pleasant comfortable hotel. It isn’t in Cangey nor even Fleuray. Quickest way is via Autrecht and Dame Marie des Bois. The room price is lower than you might expect for this quality, presumably to reduce commissions paid for booking companies (Always book direct, anyway). You also pay for the room in effect by the cost of breakfast 15€ and dinner (3 course menu 45€), but taken all together, it is very good value. I would have preferred a wider choice on the standard dinner menu (choose from three starters, two main courses ((one is always fish)) and two desserts). (You can order the same courses individually.) The standard of cooking and service is high. Each course is elaborately decorated, but the portions are small. Vegetables usually consisted of a small purée beside the meat or fish. Generally the food was warm rather than hot. They could invest in some cloches. Breakfast was the same price whatever you ate. There was a wide choice of hot and cold food, including muesli, freshly squeezed orange juice, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, ham, cheese, yoghurts and, of course, croissants and brioches. The pool was clean and refreshing. The rooms were also clean, serviced daily and well furnished. The staff were friendly and helpful. All in all, this is a high-quality, well-run hotel. It is well positioned for Chenonceau, Chambord and Villandry.

A pleasant family owned and run hotel, north of the Loire valley in the farming country. Nicely furnished rooms (good beds), quick wifi, very young but enthusiastic staff. Dinner on the restaurant terrace was excellent value, small but competent wine list: no Michelin stars here but no pretensions either so overall, bravo!

The property was beautiful and well-maintained. We stayed in the family suite. It was huge and had more than enough space for us. It was myself, my husband, our 22-year-old daughter, and our 19-year-old son. We ate at the restaurant our first night there. The dinner menu is limited. They only serve one 3-course meal. It was delicious however we all would have preferred to have choices. The smell of honeysuckle on the outside patio at the restaurant was intoxicating. The property was centrally located to all the chateaus in the area and the drive was very scenic. I would recommend it and if we have the chance, we would stay there again.

I organised a trip of 22 people and 11 old cars to this hotel in 2020. We finally made it in 2022. Throughout the siblings who run this hotel could not have been more helpful. When we finally arrived the food was fabulous, the welcome warm and I received nothing but praise from my party. A lovely hotel in a great setting and location.

I stayed in this hotel one night in April 2022 and again one night in the month following. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, and that makes it all the more enjoyable. It is not a chain hotel, but instead has its own charm. The hotel is relatively new and consists of the main building and annex. In the garden there is a swimming pool, a spa, and some nice areas to sit. The rooms are well appointed with good beds and showers. The first time we only arrived at midnight, so we did not really get a chance to explore the hotel since we were driving off again the following day to head for Bordeaux. On the way back we sat in the garden and enjoyed a glass of wine in the afternoon, and in the evening we had dinner in the restaurant sitting outside on the terrace. The food was really good, the service matched, and they had a good wine selection. The view over the landscape was great, and it was enjoyable to be away from the city, the city lights and the noise that goes with it. The reception was very efficient and friendly and all went well. We would definitely go there again.

Very good restaurant, this is the second time is 10 years that we are going there and no surprise nothing change, the team is charming even though the dad has past away and he restaurant and hotel is ran but the children’s . The food was excellent, the waiter very nice and the price in line with he quality, you need to have some time your lunch, as everything is home made. A nice surprise 10 years later

It is a genuine interesting place. Hotel room was ok. We had the suite with the whole family so great even 2 bathrooms! So true fun, after dinner jacuzzi!. The restaurant was great. 2 highlights: 1. The maitre makes a great show of the evening 2. The deserts are the best. We really enjoyed it. Thanks guys...
