The Tokyo Aparthotel by Totalstay

Beautiful place for a fraction of a cost. Location next to the grand mountains made it all worth it. Ohh not forgetting that most shops and clubs are a walking distance (it was my first trip to CPT but walked city centre like I was born and bread there). Safe at night. Lastly and most significant - V&A waterfront is few kms down the road.

Great stay in the heart of Cape Town. Clean and modern room, comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, and a beautiful rooftop pool with amazing city views. The location is excellent for exploring the city. Staff were friendly and check-in/check-out was smooth. Would definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A decent sized studio and for that price, there's no complaint. The highlight is the Rooftop pool. Just note that you can't store your luggage at this property after checkout, which is weird and inconvenient.

My honest feedback: Convenient downtown location, although you’ll likely end up relying on Uber for most of your trips anyway. The setup feels more like renting someone’s apartment than staying in a hotel, so the quality can vary from unit to unit. In my case, there was no chain lock on the door and no shower toiletries provided. The bed had definitely seen better days, and the front desk staff could improve their customer service. If you stay here, I’d recommend requesting a room on the higher floors and away from the street to minimize noise. That said, noise isn’t just from outside—you may still hear it within the building. On the plus side, if you’re lucky, you might get a room facing Table Mountain, which offers a great view. Overall, it’s fine for a short stay of one or two nights. As a bonus (or part of the adventure), I also dealt with a few mosquitoes in the room.

Had a great stay at The Tokyo Aparthotel. The apartment had everything I needed and the location was close to all the main attractions in the city. The staff was friendly, welcoming and made me feel at home. There is construction going on in the area at the moment, but besides that, I would highly recommend staying here. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. It felt safe with the fingerprint and face recognition. The location is convenient and secured. The room was clean and spacious, esp for the cost. It is worth it. Great views from the room and rooftop! Highly recommend. Will definitely stay there again if ever I’m re visiting Cape Town. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
