Atlantic Palms

Wonderful stay at Sunset Beach! The location is excellent, within a short walking distance to the glorious sunset on the beach! Rooms are large, and the food is simply amazing! We loved the fresh fish and chips and salads. Cocktails were beautiful and delicious. Our room was set up for couples, so we had less bathroom privacy, we didn’t mind but if you were a family, you would want a different room! The hotel is in a residential type setting, so bare in mind you will need a car or transportation. We highly recommend!

I never usually write reviews, but the kindness we experienced from the staff at Atlantic Palms during our week-long stay in August was incredibly special. When my partner experienced a medical emergency, the care and support we received meant we never felt alone. Being away from home in such a stressful moment was difficult, and I’ll never forget how kindly we were treated. That genuine care is reflected throughout the entire place. The location itself is stunning. We stayed in the Panoramic Ocean room, with incredible views of Table Mountain and the beach right on our doorstep. The rooms are affordable, quiet, clean, and beautifully equipped, while the location feels safe and is really easy to get to. Breakfast is good too! More than anything, though, I wanted to shout out the staff. They really make Atlantic Palms what it is. It may have only been a short stay, but it was a genuinely special one, and the kindness they showed us at a moment when we really needed it meant more than I can say. I wish I could give it 6 out of 5 stars. If you get the chance to stay here, please do.

Had a best experience at Atlantic palms. Definitely visiting again in summer time for the beach experience.

My wife and I paid the equivalent of £250 per night and we stayed 3 nights and in hindsight grossly overpaid. We were shown to our sea view room and immediately thought ..what are we doing here. No plug in the sink, no tissues and two small free bottles of water. Coffee powder and Tea bags provided. NO glass for toothbrush in bathroom ( we used the coffee mugs )or shower cap…..but there was liquid soap shampoo and conditioner. SO very basic. The bed was OK . The breakfast staff were very dozy… I asked for boiled eggs and they came on a flat plate…. No spoon or egg cup which I had to ask for. I got the egg cup but had to use my coffee spoon. On the whole we did like the breakfast.There is NO quality management here. The staff were very pleasant but were amateurs. The situation on this wonderful beach makes up a lot for the visit but, alas, I cannot recommend this hotel and most certainly not at the rates they have set.

Excellent accommodation and wonderful sea views at the property. Friendly staff and well kept rooms. Breakfast also very good and fresh.

We stayed for six nights and we ate at the in house restaurant for six nights. The quality of the food and service was good. However the location and room quality was only average. The wifi in the room was poor and at times intermittent. One evening we had no hot water. On leaving we were charged an extra R500 for alleged soiling of a towel. There was a stain about the size of a 1EU coin. A photograph was made of the stain of the towel before washing but not one after! A dissapointing end to our stay. We shall not be returning
