Barry Hall Apartments

We have been to Cape Town 3 times and the best part is always staying at Barry Hall apartments. Rita is so welcoming and happy to make your stay like being at home. The staff, led by Felicity keep your room clean, beds made and dishes washed all ready for you to relax after a day out sightseeing. For a small fee they even do your laundry. The location in Sea Point is 2 minutes walk to Regent street with plenty of restaurants, shops and grocery stores. it is less than a ten minute drive to the Victoria and Albert waterfront and downtown Cape Town. Table Mountain and Lions Head are on the hills behind Sea Point. Follow Regent street out of town and you are soon in Camps Bay followed by the scenic Chapmans Peak drive and into Houts Bay, Walking down Regent Street also gives you great views of Lions Head. Out of the bedroom window we can see Table Mountain. Take a walk on the 7km beach front walk and watch the paragliders jump off Lions head, float down and land on the beachfront in Sea Point. Our next trip to Cape Town in 2026 will include another stay at Barry Hall. One of the most enjoyable places to stay as we travel the world.

The best place if you need a beautiful, affordable, easily accessible place in central Sea Point. Always immaculate, our lounge had fresh flowers upon our arrivals, rooms and especially living area are spacious. Two kitchens (where I stayed) very well equipped. Hostess is very friendly and helpful. I will never book another place if this is available. Within walking distance of main bus lines, a few shopping centres, lots of restaurants, the promenade, to name a few.

The apartment was cozy and a big surprise, there was a room cleaning available every day making it as close to a hotel experience as it gets. The complex is located in a beautiful part of town called Sea Point. I shall try to stay there again on my next trip to Cape Town.

This is our second stay at Barry Hall. We love the location and comfort of the apartment. The little sun porch is a great location to relax, read and watch the neighbors go by. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own meal or heat up one you brought in. Rita was concerned for our comfort and checked in with us to make sure everything was OK. We will definitely stay here again.

I stayed in the Garden Cottage, which worked very well. The area has a lovely vibe, with the beach nearby and cafes and a Woolworths, Pick & Pay etc in walking distance. The room met my needs for a quiet night in a clean and comfortable environment.

We had a stunning stay at Apartment 4, Barry Hall Apartments. The apartment is spacious, light, stylish, comfortable and well equipped. There is no air conditioning in the apartment but there are windows everywhere so air flow is great (plus there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom). Check-in was easy and the owner, Rita Turner, and her team, Felicity and Zolly, are great and immediately attended to any problem that arose (of which were very few). The location of Barry Hall Apartments is fantastic - there is a supermarket 50m down the road and a Woolworths Food Store (including clothing) around the corner, 200m away. Great restaurants are within a two to five-minute walk away. The apartment is located just off a main road in Sea Point on a quiet road. There is parking on the premises for two or three cars. Barry Hall Apartments really offer great value for money and I highly recommend a stay here. We will most definitely stay here again.
