POD Camps Bay

This stay was absolutely magnificent from arrival to departure, upgraded as we arrived at the hotel. The staff, incredible! Always doing more than asked, going out of their way to assist in making plans, arranging transport or just providing extra information. Shout out to Claudia, who was patient and articulate. She stopped her work in order to attend to me at all times. Shout out to Dewald, humorous, witty and exquisitely piquant. Always up for a conversation amd willing to make anything amd everything more convenient for the guests. Rennia and Alice, ebullient and light-hearted, i felt the care and meticulous nature of their work through all they did, and the smiles they provided, thank you! The entire staff, quite warm and accommodating! Clean room, aesthetically modern and quaint. 100% recommended, convenient location for all your needs!

I had the most incredible stay at POD Camps Bay. From the moment I arrived, I knew this was a special place. I was welcomed with a warm cloth and a refreshing drink, which set the tone for the rest of my visit. The staff could not have been more kind, helpful, or accommodating. My room was spectacular, spacious, and offered both mountain and beach views. Waking up to that scenery was unforgettable. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I have in a long time. Their turndown service is unlike anywhere else I’ve stayed. Along with preparing the bed, they also leave a warm compress for your feet, which felt like such a thoughtful and luxurious touch. I happened to check in on my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. They surprised me with a custom cake, fresh flowers, and a bottle of champagne in my room. It truly made me feel celebrated. On top of that, they coordinated dinner reservations and even arranged a helicopter tour. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but I’ve never experienced hospitality quite like this. Everything about POD Camps Bay felt personal and genuine. I left feeling cared for and very special. I can’t wait to return.

We first starting coming to POD over a decade ago, and were absolutely delighted to return this year. It is without a doubt one of our favorite places to stay in the entire WORLD. For me, POD embodies the true meaning of a luxury hotel... it doesn't have centuries old tapestries or excessive breakfast buffets or the raised eyebrows judging who/what is acceptable or not. It is like having a beautiful home overlooking the beach with the most incredible staff you can imagine. There are little details that you may not have even realized you missed at other hotels until you stay at POD-- the endless supply of complimentary drinking water; thoughtful amenities for your stay like beach totes, beach games, hats, snacks, and a hot water bottle at night during the winter; fresh, delicious and perfectly prepared food; and beautiful decor that accentuates the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains and ocean rather than fight against it. We love the architectural details-- there is a long skylight that allows you to see the mountains, and the pool is connected to the fitness room in a way that allows light to come in (no windowless, claustrophobic gyms here). But really, it is the staff that makes our stay so memorable. We had so many good chats with Alice, Concy, Dewalt, and Brent, but every single member of the staff is a gem. The only downside of POD is that it makes leaving so difficult!!!

Lovely stay for 5 nights a few weeks ago. From start to finish we were treated like royalty. We arrived early yet we were made to feel so welcome from the start. The food is very good quality. We were kindly upgraded so we had a view of the mountains and the sea/ beach. The room was super modern and with a free mini bar that is topped up every day- the wine provided was excellent quality. We had a great relationship with the staff- Concy’s laugh was so infectious. We really enjoyed chatting with the staff and they couldn’t do enough to help us. The location is perfect and I would much rather stay in a smaller luxury hotel than a large one- everyone knew our name and we were not a room number. The outside areas are great- we lazed around the small pool many days. THANK YOU to all the staff we chatted to.

Everything at POD was fantastic. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. And the staff were incredibly kind. Claudia, Sean, the kitchen staff and everyone I’m forgetting were thoughtful and made the beginning of our honeymoon memorable.
