Carmel Green Lantern Inn

NOT a good experience. Arrived for a 4pm check-in and was told room won't be ready until 5pm come back then. No offer for a coffee or water and place to sit and relax and wait. Unhelpful staff. Strange room setup with shower down the stairs. The ceilings are low, I'm only 5' 10" and kept baging my head on the ceiling. Bed was lumpy!

Great location. Minimal style but chill. Simple bakery breakfast.

Customer service is impeccable. Our hostess took us to our cottage and was so pleasant and nice. This property is so close to main shopping district a the ocean. It is quiet. I wish they would serve pastries in the am.

Pet friendly but charge $50 per night, which seems silly. Older cottages, common in Carmel, but some of the furniture in the rooms need updating- stains on rugs, tears on fabrics. Tree sap on outdoor chairs. Biggest issue is that in a room for 4 people - 2 get a converted leather couch that flattens to a full, not a queen but a full-size. And then there's nowhere to put your suitcases. Staff only offered a room upgrade for second night, but we were settled and unpacked and leaving the next day so that wasn't a good solution. They didn't offer any other solutions.

We loved our stay! We had a great view of the ocean and sunsets. Our room felt cozy and we slept great! The Green Lantern Inn is perfectly located near downtown with everything within walking distance. As for parking, we had no issues. We always found a spot right in front of the Inn. The staff was very warm and inviting and had great recommendations for food and activities. We cant wait to come back for another stay. Jason and Yara

This property is perfectly positioned near every hotspot in Carmel. You’re just a few blocks from the beach and steps away from downtown shopping. It’s a wonderful place to relax outside with a glass of wine while watching your dog play. The rooms are spotless, and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again!

It was decent clean enough safe Thin walls heard my neighbors talking and music playing which woke me up overall cool

I absolutely love this place, it was quite and relaxing. It's in the middle of everything and just 5 minutes from the beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean they also welcomed pets. Overall i fell in love with this place and definitely coming back 💕 Thank you
