Mercure Gold Coast Resort

The best thing about this hotel is the gym. I have never seen such a hotel gym with this level of equipment, perhaps because this is actually another gym business that is associated with the hotel, rather than supplied by the hotel. The buffet was also good, similar to other 4* hotel with a little more variety. I have also got $10 credit for taking part in the “green clean” (or something program where you don’t have your room serviced for $10 credit per day, which can be used in the restaurant for dining.

Great location, great service, easy check-in and check-out.

Fantastic place to stay for relaxing and family reunion.

We had a wonderful stay! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the location was great. The only downside was transportation—getting an Uber could be a bit hit or miss, and fares were sometimes quite expensive, so it's something to keep in mind. The staff were all exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our visit even more special. To top it off, they gave my little boy a chocolate for his birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made his day. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and would happily stay here again.

Great stay at the resort, unable to reach by public transport, and it is a bit far from the beach, so you definitely need a car. The room was spacious, and it has all the basic amenities. Right next to a golf course, and there is also a swimming pool freely accessible to visitors. It was about half an hour drive to the zoo from the hotel

3 of us, including my daughter and husband stayed there for 2 nights, to support my son’s Australian Teams Championship event held at KDV. We had dinner at hotel restaurant, kids meal was nice and big. We enjoyed breakfast in the morning and spa at night. The car park was massive and the view was great.

We were staying on the GC for a dance convention based at Carrara Sports, so the location for the hotel to there was great. However, there wasn’t a lot else around for us to easily access without driving. The hotel itself is nice, but a little outdated and I did not see this on their description, but a LIFTLESS RESORT! We were on the 3rd floor and that was a struggle with suitcases and small children to get up and down. If I had of known that, I’m not sure I would have booked. The restaurant was very fancy for us, but we ate in the cafe/bistro area both nights. It was nice, but a little pricey for kids meals/sizing. The pool was great and felt a little heated, but no frills. We were staying at the same time as a LARGE football training group who thought 9:30pm was a great time to go swimming LOUDLY :( But a quick call to reception and the host there told them to finish up. I also got a nice little birthday surprise in my room from the manager on duty, which was a lovely treat. All in all, our stay was pleasant, buffet breakfast was good (but very busy at 7:30am so go earlier) and the venue was tidy. Would stay again if they had deals, otherwise, may be a little over priced for what it is.
