Hotel Bocagrande Cartagena

What a beautiful hotel. Make sure you stop by the upstairs outdoor bar to see Jorge! Everything was amazing. Thank you Caribe. You made my stay in Cartagena wonderful!

Hotel is not far from the airport. Only one block from the beach. Very nice area. Lots of bars and restaurants, near banks and convenient stores. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Staff was excellent. Improvements: Maybe the breakfast. It was fine but they kept running out of items and not replaced quickly.

They should improve the basic amenities as they dont provide shampoo, nor do they have towels for the beach especially considering there is no pool. Additionally, there was no hair dryer, and they should also have a mini fridge to allow guests to keep drinks cold. A good thing to mention is that the hotel is very centrally located near shops and close the beach.

When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a room for us. They said they did not show reservation for us, but when I showed them the ******* confirmation, they said our room was unavailable because it was under construction. They did not have any other rooms. Usually, in my experience, a hotel will do this when they have re-rented your room out at a higher price to someone else. . They did get us a room at their cost at a sister hotel about a half mile away. They called a taxi to take us up there. However, that room was not nearly so nice as the one that we had in the picture ******* showed at this hotel for our reservation. Also, we finally got to bed about an hour later than we should have because we had to travel up to the other hotel, wait for them to get the accommodation and so forth. At first, GHL Bocagrande acted like they did not have a reservation for us, but when I showed them the ******* Confirmation, they said The room was unavailable because it was under construction. . I would like a call from ******* to discuss what to do about this.

The property was nasty and dirty, they dinning area was all disgusting, there was a dirty dinning with flys on the fruit. Everything food silverware table everything entire property was nasty and dirty. I had 24 horas without towels I had to went and purchase my own I went downstairs to reception they told me that they linen was not coming until they fallowing day. They was broken bathroom shower. Also there was cockroaches walking around the breakfast area. This property is just a complete mess is nasty dirty and disgusting.

I stayed this week in this hotel, I have to say that it was a regrettable experience from all angles. From the moment I arrived, the reception was disappointing. The first thing that happened was that at the time of check-in, when I presented my documents, the receptionist had the audacity to ask intrusive questions and review all the pages of my passports. She put my documents on trial. I never spent a moment So in my life not even at an immigration customs, the reservation had been paid for a day before when I confirmed it from the Edreams page, the same receptionist tried to charge me again and demanded that I show her my bank account to show her that the payment It had been done when they should have had all the information that the travel agency confirmed a day before, the employees were all very rude, not at all prepared to serve tourists, the customer service was disappointing, one of the beds was missing a leg When we used it we fell to the floor due to lack of stability, and to top it all off, when I got home I noticed that I was missing some clothes that were in my suitcase, that is, we were victims of a robbery in the room. A hotel definitely to avoid on a possible visit to Cartagena.
