Lake Allatoona Inn

Had the pleasure of staying at this local B&B over the weekend. It is a pleasant late 1800s Victorian home situated across from the man-made Lake Allatoona. We stayed in the quaint Colonel's Quarters which had a cute bathtub and ran about $200 on the night it was reserved (Saturday). The room is average in size. The tub area is rather small and shares the tiny space with a toilet. There is really little room to do much in there. Were someone a large person, they may have trouble using this space. The sink is outside and across from the bed - should you wish for use it at night, it can be intrusive. The flat sceen TV is placed in front of a mirrored drawer; allowing for no access to the mirror (say you want to look at your image in the morning). The floorboards creak and the bed in the room is rather noisy. It is a Queen sized bed atop metal framing. You can imagine if you wanted a session of intimacy, it would be noticeable as the springboards make noise. You can also hear the people outside of your room when they are exiting or entering their rooms. There are about 4 other rooms all on the same floor, some of the beds are four poster. You can hear the rooster early in the morning (about 5 a.m.). The continental breakfast consists of eggs, pancakes, bacon, coffee, orange juice. The host, Lynn, who also lives on the third floor, was pleasant and informative about the history of the home and the location. I will probably be back to experience the other rooms. There is ample parking to the left of the bed and breakfast.
