Le Palace d'Anfa

We booked two rooms for ourselves and our two children. We also made reservations for shabbat dinner at the Hotel restaurant. We were assigned second floor rooms. The first night the music from a Morrocon dance club on the lower floor beneath us was so loud, none of us could sleep. We complained to the desk many times and each time they told us it would stop. This lasted until past 3 in the morning!!! Needless to say we were were exhausted the next day rom not sleeping. At the front desk they apologized and said it would NOT happen again. Yet, the same thing occurred Saturday night. Again past three in the morning the music blasted and thumped despite our complaints. When I asked to speak to the Manager he was always unavailable. The clerk said there was nothing he could do and he was aware ”it is a problem for many guests”. When we checked out I again asked to speak to the manager looking for a credit. Again he was off premises I was told and that he would call me. He never did. I tried calling the hotel over 20 times and was put on hold indefinitely, hung up on, and told he was unavailable. I was never able to reach him. When I went back and looked at the other 1 star reviews I see many people had the same complaint about the night club in the hotel. They know this will disrupt the guests but they do not care enough to stop it or alert the guests. They prefer reviews like this. While standing at the desk I heard other guests complaining and being given the run around. Every other hotel we stayed at in Morocco was great. This was horrible. DO NOT STAY THERE>

Hotel-style apartment, but without kitchenware, so the kitchen is of no practical use. In addition, there is no business center. If you need to print, you can send the information to the front desk, and the front desk will print it. There is no standard room, the big bed room is a big bed with two small beds joined together. Our two ladies asked for a standard room change. The front desk asked us to separate the beds. We could only have one set of bedding, which was embarrassing.

This hotel is more of a 2 star, certainly nothing more. The rooms are very basic, you get only one single towel per person, this will be your hand towel and body towel. The rooms overlook a busy road so can be very noisy. The room has a kettle but no coffee sachets. When I asked the receptionist if there were any places to grab a coffee sachet he couldn’t help or point me in the right direction - not very 4 star. The toilet came with half a toilet roll and the toilet had a bar smell to it which wasn’t ideal as we had to close the toilet door so we didn’t get a heartache. Additionally the door only closed if it were locked otherwise it popped open. This hotel needs to do better or rebrand itself to a two star to reflect the true position.

The restaurants and bars on the 27th and 28th floors of the hotel are currently under renovation and are not open. This should be mentioned in the hotel description, because I believe many guests booked this hotel after seeing photos of high-rise buildings. The room facilities are indeed a bit old and need to be updated. The main service facilities are on the 2nd floor, and the room we were given was on the 6th floor. The hotel said it was the highest floor for this room type, and it was fully booked that day, so there was no room available for exchange. The location is in the middle, and the two white and yellow twin towers are very eye-catching. Everyone knows that when taking a taxi to the airport, a big white taxi has a fixed price of 300 dirhams; when taking a taxi to the seaside mosque, some red taxis have meters. For more than 30 dirhams, go to the Moroccan MALL on the beach for 50 dirhams. Because there was a strong wind and sandstorm one day, I went to the MALL for a long time and felt like I should go or not... It is very convenient to take trains between major cities in Morocco. You can contact the agent in advance to buy tickets. You can take the train with the QR code in the email. You need to provide your passport number and name. Most taxis require you to agree on the price before getting in. You can ask the hotel for the approximate price.

I stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of my friends. It really is as good as they say. Everything was great. The hotel is very well maintained and clean, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are convenient and modern, the food was great. Especially the room service staff were very kind, helpful and smiling. Food always arrives hot and all delicious. For this reason, I ate my dinner at the hotel every day of my stay. Next time I will choose to stay in this hotel again. Thanks for everything.
