Every once in a while we come across a property where everything comes together to make our stay very memorable. Pensione Monti was exactly that. As other reviewers mentioned, the property itself is somewhat old-fashioned. No latest and greatest design, no flashy interiors. Nonetheless, it has everything one could want. Fantastic location with a wonderful view. Clean, and quiet rooms with comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Pleasant outdoor spaces where one can have a relaxing breakfast or coffee and enjoy the view. Good-sized, clean pool with a nice set of sun chairs and some parts that are in the shade. Hot and cold therapy tubs (this is Ischia, after all!). Adequate parking. But the most important of all was the vibe. Welcoming, unpretentious, and, oh, so relaxing. The staff are friendly and, as others have commented, the owner, Pippo is a real sweetheart who really cares about you and wants you to have a good time. The breakfast was plentiful. In addition to the usual Italian cakes and fruit, one could order eggs and a ham and cheese dish that was so large I could never finish it. All included. We had dinner there twice. The food was tasty and very well-priced. My partner is vegan so they made special dishes for her with a smile. Overall, Pensione Monti offers excellent value and it's one of these rare places where the total experience is more than the sum of its parts.

Hello 👋 Pepe and Pipo. This is to tell you a big Thank you for your Hospitality in your house Pensione Monti. Arrived late in a cloudy cold afternoon. Room 17 we had and hotel looked old at first but very soon we realised we have made a good decision to stay 6 nights here. Very clean room serviced every day by Lucia a family member of Pipo and Pepe with fresh towels ,and well equiped room. It has a window with a lovely view into the sea and town of Laco Ameno. We took advantage of the hot thermal bath early mornings and of a pretty wet and hot sauna. Like all nice residences with good views you have to use steps up and down to the pools and rooms. Normal. Breakfast not only is good (cakes, croissants, brioches, jams, marmalade, cereals, yogurts, bread , butter juices, fruits) but you will be offered anything yes anything you want as well. Dinner 3 courses is served by a gentleman Max and ready to bring your fried eggs or ham or sausages during breakfast if you want that. Quiet rooms since you are up the hill. The main pool is of an average size and surrounded by greens and flowers. Really a very good place 👏 👌 for the price. Good value for money. Again thank you for your kindness Pipo. God bless you. Thank you Pippo, Massimo, Giuseppe, and Lucia for a wonderful, relaxing, tranquillo, and peaceful stay at the Hotel Pensione Monti. Our room was great, the food fantastico, and the pools perfect, especially the thermal pool with water from the Rita spring. We highly recommend Pippo’s hotel. The customer service is outstanding and the panorama views of Lacco Ameno and the sea are awesome.
