I recently stayed at The Fields for two nights and had a mixed experience. The property is beautiful, well maintained, and the staff was friendly. The amenities and overall atmosphere create a unique glamping experience, and I was especially grateful that each tent includes air conditioning. That said, I was disappointed with my specific site assignment (Tent 10). I made my reservation back in October for a July stay, so I was surprised to be placed in a tent that sat in full sun for most of the day and was directly on the main pathway. Because of the location, there was very little privacy unless the tent was completely closed up. While the air conditioner was appreciated, it simply couldn’t keep up with the heat while the afternoon sun was beating directly on the tent, so it wasn’t really effective until after sunset. I would absolutely recommend The Fields for its beautiful setting and thoughtful concept, but I hope they’ll consider the comfort of guests when assigning tents—especially for reservations made well in advance during the hottest part of the summer. A shadier, more private location would have made for a much more enjoyable stay.

Everything you need is provided and more. The property is stunning, clean, lit well and peaceful. Close to town/beach. The bikes provided were safe and easy to ride the 4 miles/30 min. to south beach. Massage therapist was very skilled and relaxing in the pines with fresh air flowing and birds chirping was rejuvating. I visited solo for 2 nights but I will return with my husband to experience the fall foliage.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Field of Michigan, and overall, it was a pleasant glamping experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. The accommodations were clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to enjoy our time outdoors. Glamping here was a lot of fun, as it allowed us to appreciate nature without sacrificing modern conveniences. We found that everything we required for a great experience was readily available, which contributed to our enjoyment. Based on this experience, I would consider staying at Field of Michigan again in the future.

No shower It was a beautiful setting but, not for $200/ night. I’ve camped everywhere for MUCH less and at least had a SHOWER. On a brighter note, the staff was incredible.

Our stay at the Fields of Michigan was absolutely unforgettable. We stayed in a gorgeous cabin surrounded by peaceful pines, with the scent of lavender in the air and beautiful trails for long, quiet walks. Blueberry picking was such a special experience, and the kids had the best time—especially with the s’mores by the fire at night! The cabin was stunning, the service was top-notch, and the staff made us feel so welcome. Pet-friendly too, which made it perfect for the whole family. We’re already planning our return!

What a spectacular stay! From the moment you arrive in the blueberry fields, you know you are somewhere special. The people, the food and sense of place all combine to make a really unique and fun destination. The tents are so much fun - sparkling clean and even air conditioned! And yes, a heater too. Bed is amazing - my kind of camping. Mandy runs the kitchen (or maybe the whole place!?) and makes the most amazing food in town - I would eat here even if I wasnt staying here - and, yes, tons of blueberries in many of the dishes of course. Karl met us at the car park with a golf cart, gave us a tour and got us settled in - super personal - he clearly cares about the area, the hotel and his guests - he is a local so I guess that makes sense! Only negative is the towels are hanging on hooks when you arrive in the tent - a little weird - they were clean of course!

Perfect place for a friend trip: everyone has their own space and it’s all walkable around the pool, restaurant, store. Fire pits, free s’mores and more. More details in a google review i just posted but bottom line is i highly recommend the fields of Michigan and am def gonna make this an annual stop (we’re in Chicago so super easy drive up) // Amazing visit: the saltwater pool + a salty summer beer = the sensory experience i didn’t know i needed. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the blueberries were endless! (We picked buckets and buckets and still there were more - they use the leftover blueberries at end of season for a collab with Virtue Cider and need to try.) We stayed in a glampy cabin (mid range) and it was cool on a hot July night. Our friends stayed in a cabin so we had the private fire pit in their back yard (also a fire pit in the front of ours, but we used their more secluded space for our s’mores (which are free every night)) Even the basic cabins looked good (walked past the spa to see those) with king beds (our duvet was Ugg brand. So plush and comfy.) The “text if you need anything at all hours” worked really well too. And the store (gummy bears and lemonade for the kids) was open late, which was fun. Free continental breakfast and coffee with oat milk, too. I’ll be dreaming of the lavender smell and the pitter patter of the rain on our canvas roof for a long time. Core memories made!
