We stayed for a couple of nights. The first important thing to understand is no air conditioning which in the height of summer means the rooms are very hot. Breakfast is poorly managed…on the first morning I had to ask for cutlery, plates, glasses, butter, it was endless and the second morning wasn’t much better. It also took a lot of effort to get towels for everyone- basic things. The building and setting are great but the hotel needs to work on being more professional as the impression is that all the members of staff seem to have the same job so nobody is in charge and therefore the guest experience isn’t consistent

The location is very nice, the building ancient and nice. However…the rooms are not as pictured. Our room (Room 13 or 113) was small and cramped, the shower was very small and broken, and the room was on a noisy back street in the back of the hotel so beware. We asked for another room, but we were told they were all the same and our request was denied, we were not told the truth. Regrettably we did not photograph our room. During dinner on two different occasions, the owner and restaurant staff were arguing so loudly we heard them in dining area. On our second night the owner in an angry mood tossed our menus to us! The food was good and the location nice (except the view from our room), but this is not a Four Star hotel as advertised on some websites. Lastly, at checkout, there was no record of our room deposit and when we advised the owner of problems with the room, the owner argued and denied the problems that were pointed out. To be fair we offered to show the problems right then and there, but he refused our offer. The staff did their best, but the owner needs to sort himself out and understand the customer pays the bill that supports him and his staff, accept responsibility and stop living in a state of denial. I hope Roberto will accept this constructive evaluation and in the future listen to his customers and respect his staff. We are not affiliated with any hotel, or B&B and do not work in the travel industry.

I begin by saying that the structure is wonderful, a huge potential, but exploited and alas badly managed. We were about 40 people, so I got to see other rooms besides mine and none of the ones I saw shone with cleanliness. There were fingers of dust in the wardrobes and open bottles of water in the minibar. My room, on the top floor, had a fairly "tired" carpet with various kinds of stains, the profiles of the door ruined and a whitewash certainly would not have hurt him. As read from other reviews I know they are doing some renovations and it is not yet the turn of that poor room, we hope for a future fix. The most serious thing, however, are the insects I found in the room, some of which have reached the end of their lives while a lively spider watched over my sleep all night from above. Now for heaven's sake, I understand that this is how it is in the countryside but from a hotel I would have expected a minimum of extra care, I am not discussing live insects, but about the dead? Comfortable bed. As for the dinner, even there I can not give a positive opinion. Being celiac I had some problems despite the communication of my presence in advance and the ok of the structure. I had to ask the very kind waitress several times if the dish was suitable for me, arriving at the dessert with a "I were you I would take out the chocolate sticks" slightly embarrassing, don't you think? Dishes not excellent but edible.

The Relais La Fattoria di Castel Rigone was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience: the kindness of the staff, the view of the lake, the enchanting location and the historicity of the residence have left a good memory of an experience that deserves to be relived. Excellent food and hospitality. I highly recommend as a base for visiting the surroundings of the beautiful Trasimeno lake.

No reception, no friendliness, no manners We had reservations but when we arrived they knew nothing! Yes then sit down, was the only thing we heard Pretty dirty floor, bread crumbs were everywhere and it almost seemed as if it was closed No table set, we didn't get a card nor could we order drinks Nobody noticed us Left after 20 minutes We went to the restaurant, which also went unnoticed. This was the biggest disappointment we've had to date. Absolutely avoidable

We had a fantastic 2 days, very welcoming and clean hotel, very friendly and kind staff, we will be back for sure. The hotel has a beautiful swimming pool and the view it offers is enchanting. We had dinner with excellent dishes, we highly recommend it.

We had a great time. We stayed overnight using a Smart box that had been given to us. The Relais far exceeded all our expectations. It was a truly relaxing stay. All the staff put their heart into it and it shows. The atmosphere is sublime, a continuous synesthesia of sensations. We felt pampered from the welcome until check out. The food is excellent and enjoying it with the view of the lake from the terrace is enchanting. The location is historic and characteristic. I try to understand the negative reviews but it's really complicated... Congratulations to the owner, kind and affable and to the choice of all the guys who work with passion.

The location is very nice but the organization was absolutely not up to par. We had a reunion of relatives, about forty people with a fixed menu (decided by the structure itself); a first course, a miserable second course (a pork chop), a very miserable side dish, consisting of a saucer of salad, a dessert, water, wine in a carafe, some beer and coffee. Total per person 30 € ....! Price definitely exaggerated in relation to the quantity offered. Furthermore, the rooms were not adequately clean according to some relative who stayed overnight in the structure.

I spent a wonderful New Year with friends and relatives Excellent dinner and the location is impeccable service. The town of castelrigone is a small village on a hill overlooking the Trasimeno lake where you can see spectacular sunsets. Vacation to relive

Booked with The Fork. We arrive at the place: desert. An employee tells us to look for the owner in the other room, and so our search begins inside this apparently abandoned room. After a quarter of an hour we try to call, but no one answers. Exasperated, let's go. Too bad, because the location deserves a lot.

Bad experience ... "mea culpa" not having read previous reviews ... Having to spend a Smartbox voucher for a dinner, I book 2 nights to combine dinner with a visit to Lake Trasimeno and its surroundings. Having spread a pitiful veil on dinner, I refer you to the restaurants section, I book by phone asking for a room with a panoramic view, possibly on the Lake. Upon arrival of the reservation there is no trace, fortunately (or unfortunately) the hotel is practically empty ... .but the room has a view on a wall for 3/4 the rest on a hill .. nothing lake, I mention the thing ... it seems there are no lake view rooms ..... mmmmh, are we playing? The TV doesn't work ... finished the spider hunt ... I go to the bathroom, tub, no shower ... sense of old and unkempt everywhere. It's cold, I ask for heating, .... ".. it's early .. the cold has arrived suddenly ... we're not ready ..." After the bad dinner. , bad night in the cold ... Breakfast passable .... I ask for the heating .... they give us a half-broken electric heater ... I avoid going back to the hotel until late in the evening. Another bad night, .. I get up ... I don't even wash .. breakfast, suitcases and go ... end of torture Never seen so much incompetence .... money really badly spent

We stayed at this Relais in August ... I don't know where to start ... at check-in waiting for 30 minutes before someone arrived, all busy at the restaurant, even the waitresses on the floors, after the wait he accompanied us to the room a waitress without giving us any typical directions. The room with dirty walls full of stains everywhere and with old and very worn furniture, no fridge, broken safe and never fixed despite repeated requests, no air conditioning, which in those days with the exceptional heat, we had to go to the poolside for to spend the night; wardrobe missing a door, windows full of cobwebs and finally a bathroom with a non-functioning aspirator, no bidet and encrustations everywhere. The common parts very neglected, cobwebs everywhere. Poor breakfast in a small veranda facing the pool and with inexperienced staff, waiting for anything, tables not cleared until evening .... incredible. We have been used to traveling all over the world for a long time, even in poor countries, but never seen such a thing, too bad because the place is really beautiful and evocative, if kept well, maybe it would take someone to manage it better. I do not recommend it

Relais situato in un paesino veramente molto carino. Parcheggio disponibile accanto alla struttura gratuito. Spazi molto belli e arredati sempre con stile medievale, camera superior spaziosa e con vista stupenda. Bagno spazioso, unica pecca la vasca, scomoda per fare una doccia perché senza protezione. Colazione abbondante con salato e dolce e varie scelte di succhi/caffe/ the. Piscina molto carina, piccola ma rinfrescante e ambiente rilassante. Consiglio assolutamente

La dimora storica è un vero sogno,con un panorama stupendo sul lago Trasimeno. Relax assoluto a bordo piscina in completo silenzio,cibo ottimo e abbondante,camera confortevole arredata con coerenza data l'età della struttura. Il personale è gentile e non stressante. Consiglio la caffetteria e la cena del venerdì con musica dal vivo e tavoli a bordo piscina a lume di candela..atmosfera romantica e lussuosa. Lo consiglio a coppie che vogliono rilassarsi lontani dal caos cittadino e a chi cerca un pò di refrigerio durante le estati calde.
