Hotel Cala Marina

We have received a really good service. The place is nice, clean and beautifully decorated. It is located in a good place. Great breakfast. Spacious rooms nice decorated. Beautiful deck in front of the port

Lovely hotel, stunning location and friendly staff. Very clean, quiet and well managed with a gorgeous terrace and lovely outside space. It also has the best breakfast we've had in Sicily homemade by Giusi with something for every taste!!

Very nice and clean Hotel. Breakfast was very good with some sicilan specialties and we could enjoy them outside in the morning sun, even in March. People were very welcoming and explained to us what to see and try out in town and on the beautiful coast close by. Nice Restaurants nearby.

The room was very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful, the view was amazing, and the breakfast was the best we had during our whirlwind 20 day visit around Sicily. Highly recommend and don’t forget to request a room with a balcony!

Hotel Cala Marina seemed practically new when we visited in November 2023. The staff were the most fluent in English of the six Boutique hotels we stayed in throughout Sicily. The food service staff was outstanding. Parking was the easiest of our six hotels as well.

Very clean premises in a great location along the water. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

My wife and I have been travelling a lot but we never experienced something like this before, what happened to us at Hotel Cala Marina. When coming back to the hotel late at night the receptionist (an elderly man who could barlely speak any english) denied us access to our room without any reason even after showing him the room keys and our ID's. As a result and due to his lack of speaking english the elderly man had to call the hotel manager in the middle of the night. While waiting for the manager and in the course of the discussion the elderly man physically harassed my wife and insulted the both of us. At home we would have definitely reported a criminal complaint against the receptionist but as we didnt want to deal with the italian justice system during our vacation we waived on doing so. As the hotel manager arrived we told him that we want to check out immediately due to this inacceptable incident. Later on we found out that the elderly man at the reception was the father of the manager who partually works at the hotel during night time. We understand that the son wants to enable his father a job but you just cant put an eldery man behind a reception desk of a hotel without having any knowledge of english or necessary capabilities. Due to this unacceptable and unprofessional behavior we checked out immediately, wrote a complaint to the booking platform and asked our money back. Due to our fast checkout we are not able to rate any other circumstances like breakfast and so on. But things we can say is that our room (and especially the bathroom) was tiny and that we had dirty sheets on our bed. Luckily we found a very nice four star hotel just down the road with way spacier rooms where we spend seven nights without further incidents (for the same money that we would have spent at Cala Marina).

We spent a week staying in this lovely hotel in castellammare del Golfo. It is the end building on a street that runs along the waters edge. We had breakfast every morning on the deck overlooking the fishing harbour. The breakfast is lovely & self service buffet type. The hotel,also has a bar where you can get a drink to take out on the deck . The rooms are nicely furnished with a comfortable bed & a good shower . Staff speak English & are very accomodating. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a great location to stay & do day trips to other nearby towns.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious with homemade pastries and can be used at the terrace with splendid view. The location is excellent for visiting the amazing Natural Reserve of the Zingaro! We warmly recommend.
