My spouse and I stayed for five days of our ten day trip to Tuscany and the trip was planned by a travel agent specializing in Italy. The property itself was knock out beautiful and had some of the amenities we were after--an onsite laundry, breakfast, and farm animals nearby for example. Since we visited during a "shoulder" month just before peak season, no dinner service was available but we made do by purchasing cheese, fruit, salame, and wine to share in our cottage each evening. The cottage included a bedroom, main room with small dining table, small fridge and a built-in daybed where a fireplace existed previously (a bit odd.) The third room was a HUGE bathroom with a great deal of wasted space, also a bit odd. I wish the cottage had included a couple of comfortable chairs in which to relax instead of the daybed which looked pretty dingy--not super inviting. We found the staff to be not what we expected--the two brothers who we believe are the owners were polite and professional but not terribly friendly or welcoming. Having researched agriturismos I expected a warmer version of hospitality. The kitchen team of ladies were very nice and accommodating and their cappucino was great! Housekeeping services were pretty limited but that may be an industry trend. On the whole it was a very nice experience but if you are looking for an agriturismo experience with interaction with other guests over breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening, this may not be the place for you are hoping for.

Family-owned and operated agritourismo and Villa in Chianti. Close to several vineyards, theirs being exceptional. Our apartment on property was lovely. We took a cooking class "Cooking with Laura" - interactive and amazing. Along with a wine tasting which was fantastic. The grounds offer lovely morning walks and breakfast is offered daily with views out of a storybook. So glad we found you!

We first tasted these wines at a wine dinner at The Bindery, our favorite restaurant in Denver. We met Jacapo and Mary and decided to visit the winery. We are so glad we did. The setting is amazing and the wines are fantastic. Imagine staying in an apartment that is over 600 years old. Our hosts were welcoming and informative. While there you can enjoy a wine tasting or a cooking class. Don’t forget to visit the donkeys and the goats. You can easily visit Florence, Siena and other towns.

We recently spent 4 days at Querceto di Castellina as part of our honeymoon tour of Tuscany. We throughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and our suite (Livia) was perfect and had everything we needed. before arriving I hadn’t fully appreciated the location of the winery, the scenery was stunning and we loved going for a swim whilst looking over the Tuscan hills. We also really enjoyed trying all of the wines they had on offer. The only downside (and not the fault of the owners), but the location (being surrounded by fruit trees) meant that there were quite a few bugs/flies. We hope to return some day and we’ll definitely pack repellant and citronella candles to ward off any unwanted guests which are a given when staying in the countryside.

While planning our honeymoon to Italy, we stumbled upon Querceto’s summer vineyard dinner series. By luck, we would be in Italy the same weekend their last dinner was happening and was able to get tickets. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. From start to finish, the entire experience was a dream. The vineyard is gorgeous- everything you think of when Tuscany comes to mind. The wine is excellent (we bought a case to ship home) and the food is to die for. Mary is so thoughtful and wonderful to work with. She helped suggest car services to get to the vineyard from Florence. If you are in Tuscany, you MUST go to Querceto di Castellina!

Our weekend at Querceto di Castellina was the highlight of our month in Italy. The pictures can't capture just how beautiful the landscape around Querceto is. It was so relaxing having breakfast, or a swim in the pool, or an afternoon glass of wine overlooking the vineyard and the surrounding hills. On top of all this, the wine is delicious and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We will absolutely go back someday!

Rarely does a place that you discover online exceed your expectations, but Querceto di Castellina did exactly that! This agriturismo is a rare gem! Upon arriving, we were awed by the magnificent view of the vineyards and rolling hills, the 500-year-old stone buildings that look like they are out of a storybook, the beautiful reception and dining area, the special decorative touches all around the property, and the sense of peace and serenity it all brought. We were greeted by Filippo, one of the owners, who showed us to our apartment and made sure we had whatever we needed. My husband and I and our two friends stayed in the Mandorlo, which was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and peaceful. The buffet breakfast (offered for a low cost) includes both healthy options and delectable pastries, which we enjoyed on the lovely terrace overlooking the vineyard. The Classic or Premiere lunch—which includes a personal tour of the winery, an elegant wine tasting, and a beautifully presented and delicious meal—is not to be missed! We loved learning about the history of the property and the origin of the names of the wines (which you'll have to find out yourself!). The olive oil served with lunch is made right on the property from the olive trees in sight. We happily bought a bottle to take home! Although we hated leaving the property, this served as a perfect base for our day trips into Florence, Siena, a winery tour, and more. We also loved spending time in nearby Castellina, a small and charming town with wonderful shops and restaurants. A special find was restaurant Sotte le Volte ("under the vaults")—both the meal and the setting were perfect for our last evening in Chianti. I'd suggest skipping a visit to the nearby town of Greve; it lacks the special charm of Castellina. I only wish we had had more time to stay at this magical place and enjoy "la dolce vita." Hopefully we will be back someday!

This was my second stay at Querceto di Castellina. The first was in October 2018 with friends on a girl's trip, and ever since then I knew I had to bring my daughters back. The love and care the family has put into all aspects of the winery and apartments comes shining through. A few highlights: warm welcome, delicious breakfast each day, wine & charcuterie available each afternoon, well appointed kitchens and fully modern bathrooms, adorable winery dogs, beautiful grounds/scenery/views, and the highlight.....a full day cooking class with Mama Laura! The day began with morning shopping in the quaint town of Castellina for the ingredients, and ended with the best meal we had in Italy accompanied by their delicious wines served in Laura's home. It felt like we were members of the family by the end of our stay, it was very hard to leave. Thank you Mary, Laura and Jacopo for the amazing hospitality and creating a truly special family memory for me and my girls!

We are very glad we chose to stay at this property for 3 nights on a recent vacation in Tuscany. The hosts and staff are amazing. The property is beautiful, secluded - out of the way setting, and very relaxing with great views. We enjoyed breakfasts on the terrace, early mornig pre-dawn / sunrise walks around the property, nice wines, and the cooking class with Laura! We would definitely come back and would recommend it to others.
