We had a wonderful time at Barefoot Beach! The staff, particularly Bugsy and Larry, were wonderful! The rooms and grounds were clean and welcoming. This is not a luxury hotel, so don't expect that, but its clean and quiet! I stayed in a little cabana in the back which was perfect for 1 person and would be good for 2 people as well. There is an open air communal kitchen with some ways to cook, a fridge, and a coffee pot. Very basic stuff but a nice option, and some picnic table to visit with other guests. There is a bulkhead rather than a beach, so the sargassum can't build up and get stinky. The pier extends past the sargassum, people were swimming off the end. There is a charming little beach bar out front, with the best tacos! They also have a fire ring and have a social fire every evening. Great place to relax in the evening, listen to some reggae, sip some drinks and enjoy the island vibes! The hotel is about 15 mins walk to the downtown area where you can find many shops, restaurants and bars. Maybe 20 min walk to the Split. Its about 10 min walk from the ferry, or a $5 USD taxi ride if you have a lot of stuff to carry. I will definitely choose this hotel in the future!
