The rooms are spacious and relatively clean, but housekeeping is not always timely. The rooftop terrace offers distant ocean views and is a great place to relax. The island's beaches are covered in stinking seaweed, making swimming impossible unless you go to the northern beaches (where the water is also quite poor). It's best to go out to the ocean. Fresh water on the island is delivered by truck and stored in a water tank. The hotel's water has a greasy feel after use. I tried two soaps and two hand sanitizers, both of which had this effect. I've stayed at other hotels on the island and haven't experienced this with their water. I suspect the water company is causing the difference. Overall, the facilities are acceptable, but the value isn't great.

The 2 guys cleaning constantly were great, always making sure the common areas were spotless. Continental breakfast was minimal, nowhere to sit and eat it if it’s raining or had rained recently.

Yvan is the best manager in the hotel industry. He really makes you feel like your family. I highly recommend Barefoot Hotel in Caye Caulker, Belize.

Staff very nice and helpful. Location is along the Main Street. Air conditioning worked well. Roof top area was not usable… renovating? Caye Cauker is a quaint place but expensive for what you get whether it be meals, drinks, or accommodations Not very clean… lots of garbage in the streets. No nice beaches. It was nice to visit … would not return to the islands/ cayes

Room was clean, STAFF WAS AMAZING!!!…super kind! I can’t express that enough! Location was perfect. Night time was very quiet and peaceful during the week day, and still not so bad on the weekends. A few yards away you can go for a swim or to the bar…or for both at the same time! I was traveling to a different Caye after my stay here and the owner was very busy but still willing to help me find a hotel during my venture to a different Caye! Also has Continental breakfast! Thank you Barefoot! Can’t wait to stay with you guys on my next trip!

Such a fun place! Right in the middle of the action. Started on the bottom floor and they let us move up top for the rest of our stay. Pool was a fabulous addition. Everyone was happy/friendly got us everything we needed. AC was AMAZING, drinking water on tap, clean property. Doing construction/updates so can’t wait to be back!!!
