I’d sum this review up by saying they’re trying really hard, but they’re just not quite there yet. We stayed for 3 nights. The condo was lovely and well-stocked with kitchen equipment, though the addition of some salt and pepper and cooking spray would have been nice. The property is well-maintained and looks lovely, though be aware that the beach isn’t really a lie-out kind of beach. I think it was probably man-made as in a thin layer of sand above maybe concrete. Looks great but wouldn’t be comfortable to sit on. The staff is super friendly. The biggest problem was food. Everywhere we went - at both resort restaurants and the other restaurant on the north side - they were out of key things (like fish when half the menu was fish, and yogurt at breakfast) and it took our food FOREVER to arrive. The first night at the Lotus restaurant on-site we waited half an hour just for our drinks and when I asked it was clear that they had just forgotten them. And both nights at the resort restaurants they forgot one of our meals. But you’re kind of stuck because otherwise you’ve got to get on the shuttle to the south and then shuttle back, and though the shuttle is nice it isn’t as frequent as you’d expect considering there’s not much on the north side at all. Finally, it just felt like they were nickel and diming you much of the time. Like I had to sign something about how many towels we got, and after I left, they charged me $5 for a little washcloth that they said had stains on it that wouldn’t come out. I get it that places need to be able to charge when guests take significant items like bathrobes and pool towels, but a tiny washcloth? It’s just not what I’d expect from a “luxury” resort.
