Great location & beach, average to ok service.

Good food and drinks, beautiful location

We have traveled all over until we found Iberostar Daiquiri in Cuba , we just won't go anywhere else now. The amenities are the same you will find at most resorts , the beach is as beautiful as you will find , the food is as good as you will find in Cuba , the rooms are nice and clean , the entertainment is what you can expect at any resort. The difference between this resort and the others is the Staff ! All of the staff. These are some of the most genuine , friendly people on the planet. We are always greeted with a big smile and friendly hello every time we even as much as passed by them. The Bar staff , the pool staff , the lawn crews , the managers , the wait staff , everyone. They go out of their way to ensure you are happy and having a great time. My buddy was a little apprehensive about going to Cuba for the first time and asked me " How safe is Cuba ? " I told him " the biggest threat in Cuba will be the two of us Canadians at the pool bar staring at a bottle of whisky " I cannot wait to go back.

I had an amazing experience at Iberostar Daiquiri. The customer service was outstanding, the pool and grounds were impeccably clean, always looked after. I was pleased with the food and service in the dinning hall. Alexei, Michel, Becy, Yakelyn to name a few, were absolutely fantastic providing phenomenal service. They went above and beyond to insure that our dining experience was top notch. Aselia, Marianela, Kevin, Adrianna, Yaneisy, Lio, Ernesto, Richard, Marcel, Luis, Tito, Marley, Sammy, I could keep going as appreciated all of the staff, are assets to the Iberostar family.

I can’t say enough about this incredible resort!! The staff are absolutely incredible and make you feel like family. We loved every minute of this vacation. The entertainment was top notch and the food was great each day/night. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and it was never an issue finding an area to park ourselves for the day at the beach and also at the pool. Hot water every single day and the rooms were kept very clean. A huge thank you to the staff that made this vacation so awesome. Marbelys,Alden,Gaby,Asiel,and Yunior. All in all this was the best vacation we have ever been on. We will be returning for our wedding next year with the entire family! Can’t wait to see you all again!

Although this was the first time that my gf and I had stayed at this resort, we have been to different parts of Cuba many times over the last 25 years. We have also stayed at several resorts in Cayo Coco / Guillermo many times. We are aware of, and understand, the economic problems being faced by Cuba at present. We stayed for two weeks in May. I am giving the vacation a score of 3/5 for the reasons given below: Pros: Great beach, with a pier that extends out into the sea. It can be windy at times, especially in the afternoons. However, the sea is really good for swimming, snorkeling, and kite surfing. If you are just swimming, it is best to wear water shoes. The sea grass meadows are not a problem, as there are enough areas along the shore which are free of sea grass. The sea is full of fish. There were a lot of palapas available on the beach with plenty of loungers to lie on. The beach is kept clean by one of the gardeners who regularly collects and clears away any trash. The food is fairly good, as mentioned by other reviewers. We tried the buffet, snack bar, and the three a la carte’s (Mexican, Italian, and Cuban). The location of the Italian is confusing. We eventually discovered that the Mexican restaurant doubles up as the Italian, on different days. So saying, the buffet had a very bad fly problem. See Cons. The staff were really good and friendly. However, the first time that I ordered a meal at the snack bar, it took a long time to receive the food. The waiter at the time seemed to be handing out the meals to people at random. I could see that other guests were unhappy with the long waiting times. But on other days there were different staff serving the food, and the wait time was ok. Cons: The transfer from the airport was great. We had taken an early flight from Toronto, and we arrived at the resort around 12 noon. Not many people got off the bus with us. I estimated that around four rooms were needed for the arriving guests. That is when problems started. We were informed that no rooms were ready yet. The receptionist said that we would have to wait until around 3 to 4pm, but that he would call the maid to find out what the situation was. The bellboy then took out luggage to a storage room. There appeared to be no reason for the delay. It is the start of the low season, and the resort was not very busy with guests. We almost always take the early flight to Cuba, and we have never come across such a delay before. Obviously, having been through a long journey (as we live some distance outside of Toronto), we were looking forward to starting our vacation. After lunch we started asking when the room would be ready. We received vague answers. Eventually after patiently persuading him, he said we could go to our room. By now it was 3pm. Btw, we had paid $28 US to hire the safe in the room for the 2 week vacation. For most Cuban resorts there is no charge for the room safe. On arrival at the room we found the following issues: the saf
