Southpole Central Hotel

The room had an UNPLEASANT smell, especially during cleaning. Amenities were limited, and there was NO free coffee. The staff were kind and accommodating, but the location is quite far from the city and airport.

Bar soap only and for sachet shampoo, almost impossible for light travellers without scissors. Deposit of 1000 has to be returned only after room is checked though only return of room key was advised earlier. Do consider this extra time if in a rush. Bad sound proofing.

Very basic hotel good for one night, but there is pretty much nothing around it. The A/C unit is such old style (window unit from the 80s), but surprisingly is very cold. The problem is that is very loud too. The wifi is slow and unstable once you get to the 5 floor.

We arrived around 7pm and the security personel just pointed where we can enter using a ramp since i'm with a child and an elderly, but they didn't even helped us with the luggages. Front desk staff were fine. But after the check-in processes, they will just give you the key card and no one will assist you going to your room or showing were the room is. I also read a review for this hotel that they were held at the lobby for check-out for almost an hour because there was a stain on the linen which they claimed that they were not at fault. And they were asked to pay a fine. So what i did was i video recorded the whole room upon entering so if ever they will find any problem during our check out i will have a proof. And the problem i saw was there were stains on the beddings/linens, there's a damage on the table top, the television is fine but there's a yellow discoloration on the screen. Looks like an LCD problem. The lavatory's faucet is a little bit loose so we're really careful when were using it. Food for breakfast were fine. And before leaving the room i took a video recording again of the whole room.

the location is accessible to store, shopping and everything. service was good.

The toilet floor is so slippery when we first came in I almost slipped..choices of food for breakfast is repetitive and not competitive to it's daily rate compared to before. This can be improved.. early check in has to be accomodated for regular staying guests 12 noon is ok..
