Victoria Palace Cefalù

Great location, big rooms and very diverse breakfast (although quality could be improved). A kettle with tea and coffee in the room would be needed for a 4* hotel. Staff could also improve their attitude.

Great location. Anna on reception on arrival was very friendly & efficient on arrival & beach lido & pool was amazing! I would have given this hotel 5 stars but we had no sleep due to a faulty & very noisy air duct in our room for which we had no apology for once fixed! Sounded like a 747 taking off intermittently all night long until 0645 when I finally found someone to come. Thus causing me to totally miss breakfast due to such lack of night sleep & a bad start to our Sicily touring. Sorry not worth 270€ per night!!!

+ Fabulous location - stunning old town + Gorgeous clean, modern hotel + Friendly staff especially Anna!!! + Super breakfast on the third floor with very chilled quiet piano jazz playing (but not intrusive) and a stunning view. Chef will prepare eggs for you. + Spacious, quiet, 1st floor room with a side sea view and balcony for the sunset (Room 204). Cleaned daily. Large walk-in shower. + Lovely beach, shallow clean water, very gently shelving. Turn left out of the hotel to the beige umbrellas in front of Cefalu Sea Palace for free sunbeds ( 2-3 minute walk). Free beach towels from Victoria Palace reception. + Great beach bars along the 5 minute flat walk into town + Superb range of restaurants in town + Free book swap in reception + Best pool beds ever around a small, clean pool + Delicious ice creams & pastries available in ground floor cafe/bar Only disappointments - No fresh juice at breakfast which I would have expected at a 4-star hotel. Fruit squash drinks don't cut it. - Inadequate storage in the bedrooms - only 2 tiny drawers and some hanging space - The beer on tap in the hotel bar is NOT PERONI even though they say it is - naughty! - No kettle & tea/coffee making facilities in room - I thought that was standard for a 4-star Excursions: - + Climb the Rocca up the Saracen Steps for an AMAZING view. Take water. Allow 2 hours. + Walk all the way round to the marina/port via the coast path - virtually deserted - fab for snorkelling. 4 Euro electric taxi return from marina/port to town (if you are tired) + Brunch in Piazza Duomo - fresh orange and a brioche + Medieval laundry - free - in town

Lovely property with its own beach club and swimming pool. Underground parking. 10 minute walk to old town. Wifi works well. Rooftop breakfast is good. Lots of rules here. See photos. No one to assist with baggage. If you're arriving by car, you'll arrive at the front on a one way street, but the garage is accessed from the rear requiring some driving around. A much better arrangement would be to unload the bags at the door and then you or a valet could go park the car. As it is now, you are on your own to find the underground parking and then haul your own bags up to the lobby. Front desk staff are friendly and welcoming once you get there. Small things. Only 2 thin pillows on the bed. Searching further, we found one more in the cupboard.

Friendly staff, we loved the breakfast on the rooftop with the views and central to walking into town. Our room had a sea view, very clean comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. We had a balcony as well to enjoy the view from. Secure parking on site was a bonus.

The Victoria Palace has a lot of plusses: it is right on the Promenade across from the beach, helpful desk staff, a spacious room, a very usable porch with comfortable chairs, and good wifi. Breakfast on the 3rd floor overlooking beach also good. The minuses are small details which would have helped the room be more functional for a 4 day visit: no luggage racks and no hooks in the bathroom. Overall, a good spot with easy walking to the old part of town, grocery and fruit stores.

We stopped here one night on our roadtrip around Sicily. The room was clean, modern & comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable - omelettes made to order. The hotel is a short walk along the prom to the old town, Cefalu is a beautiful little town. One bit of advise if coming by car is work out prior to arrival how to get in to the carpark. We didn't, missed the turn in & then had to do a big loop round again as a one way system. .
