Ascott Jakarta

The hotel located in a very good place near to mall and other areas. But the hotel is old enough to be called star rating hotel, the carpet has bad smell on the corridor, very few breakfast variety! Definitely will not use again!

Stayed at Ascott Jakarta with my family, and we had a pleasant experience overall. The room was comfortable and spacious for all of us, and the service throughout our stay was good. The location is excellent very convenient and close to several major malls, which made shopping and finding food easy. The hotel also prepared a mini birthday decoration, which was a wonderful and thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. The only downside was that the breakfast selection. Overall, it’s a nice and comfortable place to stay, and I would recommend it for its great location and warm service.

Aprtment was huge, great for families. Near to Thamrin City, Grand Indo and Plaza Indo. Staff were attentive and trustworthy, my husband left his phone after checkout, and he get his phone back. Even for my personal opinion breakfast does not have much varieties, it still taste good. Afterall, quality does matter. Definitely will repeat this hotel again.

Service: Generally friendly and helpful staff. Value: Very good for the space and location compared to nearby hotels.

We stayed at Ascott Jakarta from 23 to 26 October 2025, and our experience was far below expectations for a hotel of this standard. On 24 October, during breakfast at Serumpun Restaurant, we were served spoiled fried tofu that emitted a terrible smell. Even after informing the staff, the same tofu dish was brought out again multiple times, which showed a complete lack of hygiene and seriousness. Later, we noticed that several eggs at the outdoor egg station were still covered in chicken droppings, clearly uncleaned; a shocking and unacceptable sight for any restaurant, let alone one in a 5 star hotel. The offered us to receive a small voucher offer instead of a genuine apology or meaningful solution. Even when we declined the voucher, no further follow up was made by anyone!!! What made this worse was the hotel’s total lack of response. No one from management came to apologize or address the issue properly. Because of how disgusting the first breakfast was, we skipped breakfast on the second day entirely. On the third day, we went to check the restaurant again, hoping someone might address the matter but no one did, and we even saw the same dirty eggs being brought to the station again. It was appalling. And just minutes before checkout, we were the ones chasing the management again not the other way around, because no one had taken the effort to rectify or even acknowledge what happened!! The lack of professionalism and accountability was extremely disappointing. The hotel claimed that the restaurant was “a third-party operator”, a shocking excuse since breakfast was included in our room package, not purchased separately. We requested a full refund due to the severity of the issue, but the hotel refused. How irresponsible Eventually, a partial refund was given only after we involved Trip.com. To make matters worse, the refund was only given after we involved Trip.com, whose team handled the matter professionally, unlike Ascott Jakarta’s management. Even then, the hotel’s refund information to Trip.com suddenly changed from what they had initially agreed, showing how disorganized and unreliable they are. And we were “forced” by Ascott to receive the said amount!!! This was supposed to be a pleasant trip to celebrate our friend’s birthday, but instead, it became a stressful and upsetting experience. Ascott Jakarta completely failed to meet the standards of a reputable international hotel. Staying here was frustrating and unpleasant. We have travelled extensively around the world and stayed in hundreds of hotels, from budget to luxury, and we can confidently say that Ascott Jakarta delivered the worst experience we’ve ever encountered. It was truly beyond comparison in terms of poor service and lack of accountability. If you value cleanliness, honesty, and professionalism, avoid this hotel. The hygiene is terrible (see the photos), the management is dismissive, and they take no real accountability. Ascott Jakarta was an absolute disappointment.
