Cessnock Motel

It was good enough for just staying there after we had finished watching a show, came back after 23:00 for 1 night sleep. Very basic, but there were clean towels & bed linens, tea & coffee. Front staff was friendly.

We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Cessnock Motel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was clean and cosy!

Trip.com had the description wrong and we ended up with a small queen room. Receptionist could have paid more attention to what I was saying and offered to upgrade us for free or a charge instead of acknowledging there was an issue. Also, vanity drain hole either dirty or stained but otherwise the room was clean.

Very good value motel (at least midweek) close to Hunter Valley wineries and fast food outlets. Usual motel layout and amenities, a little dated but not to the point of being ragged. I would stay there again.

The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean and comfortable (cheap and cheerful), and had everything I needed, including a few cable TV channels, reliable Wi-Fi connection, and good water pressure with plenty of hot water. I loved the location near the center of town, close to grocery stores and only a short drive to many wineries and other travel destinations. Good value for money. Regards.

The room overall was clean but needed repairs, the manager was helpful and gave us a larger room. Which had been upgraded, but the carpet was badly stained, the bedside lights worked but were not fitted properly. The linens were all clean and well laundered. There was also quite a bit of traffic noise as the hotel is located on a busy road. The staff were helpful and friendly. But I probably wouldn’t stay again.
