Sheraton Changsha Hotel

I've stayed at several hotels in Changsha, and this one was pretty good overall. The room was spacious. Although the facilities were a bit old, they were comfortable and convenient enough for use. Even the hairdryer was a Laifen! There were plenty of breakfast options, and Mark Gong provided excellent service. The only minor drawbacks were that the smoking area was right outside the entrance – it would be great if they could guide smokers further downwind. Also, if you're taking a taxi, the access roads are quite narrow (for example, the road behind the hotel is very small, and taxis got stuck for a long time trying to get in. Several times, taxis wouldn't come all the way to the lobby because they'd get stuck exiting from the other side). Then there were small issues like the front desk computer breaking down, and then the invoice machine breaking down…

This established five-star hotel consistently delivers on quality. Even after many years in operation, everything is maintained to a high standard. I especially want to commend Angel, one of the hotel staff. Her service awareness is excellent, her professional skills are strong, and her attitude is kind and friendly. She's beautiful inside and out! A huge thumbs up! 👍

They even helped me order bubble tea before I checked in, making the whole process effortlessly convenient. The hotel is very close to all the major landmarks, and there are old public transportation routes right outside, which is super convenient. Taxis also don't get stuck in traffic with other tourist drop-offs. Arriving late at night and extending my stay last minute were both handled perfectly. While the classic 'old money' aesthetic and decor might not be as Instagrammable or eye-catching as the artistic design hotels at IFS, when you're traveling, it's all about comfort, ease, and feeling at home. You need a good mood to truly enjoy the scenery along the way.

Our hotel concierge, Anne, contacted us by phone and provided service throughout our stay via WeChat. She was incredibly responsive to our requests and even prepared a special PowerPoint presentation with local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. We had a pleasant and worry-free stay – definitely our top choice for future trips.

The lobby is grand and elegant, the room offers a wide view, and both the bedding and bathroom fixtures are of excellent quality. The staff were warm and responsive, and thoughtfully prepared a welcome fruit platter – the attention to detail was exceptional. The dining was superb, offering a great balance of Hunanese and international flavors, and the breakfast was abundant and delicious. The location is convenient, making it easy to get to attractions and shopping areas. The hygiene was impeccable, and the facilities were well-maintained. It's suitable for both business trips and vacations, providing a comfortable and reassuring experience throughout. I genuinely recommend it!
