Meixi Lake Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha

The Meixi Lake views are lovely, and Yuelu Mountain is right across the lake. Downstairs, there's a commercial complex, and an art center is nearby. The butler service was incredibly warm and helpful; they even added me on WeChat in advance. It's about a ten-minute taxi ride from the hotel to the west gate of Yuelu Mountain. The room design is simple yet sophisticated, and the bedding is just right – not too soft, not too firm. Breakfast was good, and all the staff greeted us proactively. Public transport is convenient, and parking is easy if you're driving.

The Luxury Collection Hotel Changsha Meixi Lake is quite good. The guest rooms are on high floors, offering excellent views. The overall design is very tasteful, and the environment is clean and upscale, making for a very comfortable stay. The butler service is also super attentive; they respond quickly to requests and their attitude is gentle and thoughtful. The pool design is great, and there's even a heated children's pool, which made the kids very happy. The hotel is located right by Meixi Lake, perfect for a pleasant stroll, and there are many good restaurants nearby. Just a heads-up, the minibar is not free.

I've stayed here multiple times, and this time the butler specifically arranged a room on a higher floor directly facing the Culture and Art Center, which offered an amazing view. The service was still attentive and responsive, and the bedding was comfortable. Waking up to Zaha's architecture is why I keep choosing this place.

The room was incredibly spacious with a great ambiance. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the Meixihu Grand Theater. It had a walk-in closet, and both the shower and vanity area were very roomy. The service was top-notch. Breakfast was decent, and they even had fish noodles!

The hotel's environment and surrounding scenery are excellent. It's right next to the Meixi Lake Grand Theater, offering beautiful mountain and lake views, as well as stunning city nightscapes. The rooms are very spacious, especially the bathroom, which is quite grand. Getting around is also very convenient.

This Luxury Collection by Marriott near Meixihu Lake offered a great overall experience. The hotel rooms are well-equipped, and the gym and pool are open until 11 PM. The pool even has a dedicated area for kids. The gym facilities are so comprehensive, they could easily operate as a public fitness center. Breakfast was extensive and served until 10 AM. The concierge WeChat service was a thoughtful touch.

I've stayed here many times before, and it's always been great. However, this time, during the New Year holiday, it was incredibly crowded. Check-in took a long time, and we had to queue for breakfast. I can understand the crowds and the queuing, but the service and facilities also suffered. The check-in staff just handed me the room card without proactively telling me the room number or floor. They also didn't inform us about the breakfast times, even though they had changed. The pool water wasn't as clean as it used to be (even though there weren't many people in it), and breakfast felt like a step down too. It just felt like a general decline across the board. Next time, I might consider other hotels.

Everything was excellent! We stayed for three days during the holidays with our family. Penny at the front desk proactively added us on WeChat and was incredibly responsive to all our requests, always replying promptly. Despite the holiday crowd, the service never felt neglected. The breakfast being extended until noon was a very thoughtful touch, allowing us to sleep in even when we had plans to go out.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Meixi Lake, and our room was on a high floor. The night view overlooking the city was absolutely stunning. The service was also top-notch; they responded to our requests within minutes of calling.
