Longemont Taihu Lake Town Hotel

Our trip was very comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived at the hotel quite early, and the front desk lady saw that there was an available room, so she allowed us to check in. The air conditioning was already turned on in the room, which was a lifesaver during this hot summer. The butler was especially thoughtful, offering various forms of care and helpful tips for our activities throughout our stay! Highly recommended!!!

The environment is great, and the hotel service is excellent. They even called us a day before our arrival to confirm! The hotel is right next to the ancient town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and getting some amazing photos. Our room had a balcony with a view of the mountains, which was lovely. It's a really suitable place to bring kids!

The butler service was excellent; they sent important notices in advance. They were very responsive to all my questions. The fireworks were clearly visible from the scenic room. There's a bathtub, so if you want to take a bath, you can bring your own bath bag, or buy disposable ones at the lobby's convenience store.

The Ancient Town Grand Hotel offers good overall value for money, making it ideal for tourists visiting the scenic area. You can purchase packages that include attraction passes, which are a great deal when combined with activities. The hotel is quite large and sees a lot of guests checking in. The biggest highlight is the underground passage on the second basement level, which leads directly to the Taihu Performance Center across the street. This means you don't have to brave the sun or rain or cross the road. It's incredibly convenient for returning to the hotel after a show, saving you time and effort when heading back after watching fireworks or traditional iron flower performances at night. There are very few takeaway options around the hotel. For meals, I recommend heading directly into the ancient town streets and dining there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast can get very crowded, so it's best to go early.

We booked a room with a view for two nights. Check-in was very quick, and the air conditioning was already on when we entered the room, a nice touch in the hot summer. Even though it's a large hotel with many rooms, it's very well-managed and not chaotic at all. A special thanks to customer service agent Xiao Yan, who was always responsive and quick to meet our needs throughout our stay. It was a very pleasant stay, and the view from our room was fantastic for watching the fireworks!

This hotel is super close to the performing arts center, so you can just walk over. The shows there are all unique, and there are tons of activities to do. You can spend days exploring, eating, drinking, and having fun with one pass – it's really great value for money. This hotel package was an amazing deal, absolutely packed with value! The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, a mix of Chinese and Western dishes, so there's something for everyone. The grand circus, especially, is a must-see. Plus, the hotel has a penguin house on the first floor where you can get up close without the crowds – they're adorable! Highly recommend it to everyone.

The environment and facilities, though a bit old, were at least up to standard. The most unforgettable part was having to stand for a full half hour just to check in. The front desk made no effort to direct guests or open more counters. We just waited and watched as they slowly processed each person, standing in line for half an hour! This is the longest check-in wait I've ever experienced!

I booked a suite for over a thousand [currency] specifically for the ambiance. The room layout and view were great. However, it was my child's birthday the day after check-in, and despite informing the hotel, there was no birthday amenity whatsoever. Plus, I was genuinely shocked that a suite didn't even have a refrigerator!
