Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa

The spa - hamam, sauna and indoor pool (1m deep though?!) is the hotel’s best feature. There is no beach access though, so I went to Nea Hora and Golden beach. Rooms - too small, lack of storage space, complex buttons and unnecessarily complicated console. It was quiet even though I was given a 2nd floor room. The overall signage in the hotel is confusing too. Beds and pillows - huge and comfy. Food - excellent. Massage decent. Toiletries good. Only frontal views are of the sea, but cost 10x more! Otherwise - trash can views!😤 A la carte breakfast - too slow, you eat less, always a misunderstanding… and after you order they take away the menu… Rooftop pool - a scam! Sunbeds always occcupied and need to be booked to see the sunset 🙄 there is another rooftop on 7th floor but after 10min you want to leave, because there are no showers, a pool, toilet or a bar… Staff is young, fakely polite, too slow and not very responsive - obviously trained for certain types of guests (culturally unexperienced). So even to get a locker in the spa you had to wait to be explained how to unlock it (and pass a test?!), even though there are two people at the reception desk. My coffee capsules, sweetener, and teas were not replaced the following morning during the housekeeping visit and a used glass was not washed. The balcony pool is tiny and got a lot of fluff from the street, plus I didn’t feel comfortable using it with it being visible from the street and building right across the street. I was also called at 21:30 (I was asleep?!) to check whether I was satisfied with a complimentary 30min massage (due to the poor room view)… 🤷🏼♀️ I understand that it is a new hotel and they are trying their best but I also paid 800+€ for two nights and was frustrated during 50% of my stay… 😒 I attended a high school for tourism and hospitality, worked as a masseuse, also and worked in 5-* hotels Chania 30 years ago, but stayed in a multitude of 4-5 star hotels worldwide since. Especially in Asia where the service is top notch. Therefore, all of this is not acceptable for such a high price. Yes, the welcome drink is nice, and so is the complimentary massage, but you should do better, Hilton!

A stunning hotel with fabulous staff. The location is excellent as it is right beside the old town and Nea Chora beach The decor was gorgeous and the roof top pool was the perfect place to relax. The breakfast was lovely and there were very nice options to choose from. The room was so luxurious and comfortable I just loved it especially the plunge pool as it was very warm. Thanks so much to all the hardworking staff for a really memorable stay.

Our stay at Hilton Chania Old Town Resort & Spa was absolutely exceptional and, without a doubt, one of the best hotel experiences we have had. From the moment you step out of your taxi, you immediately feel that you are somewhere special. The service is outstanding from the very first moment, with a warm welcome and a genuinely personalised check-in experience that made us feel valued and very well looked after. Our room was absolutely beautiful — brand new, stylish and finished to an incredibly high standard. It was equipped with all the latest technology and thoughtful details, while the sea view was simply stunning. Everything felt modern, comfortable and luxurious, without losing that warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was another highlight of our stay. We had the opportunity to dine at the different restaurants, and every meal was delicious. The quality of the food, presentation and service were consistently excellent, making each dining experience something to look forward to. What really stood out, however, was the attention to detail and the service throughout the entire property. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, professional and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Overall, this was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Beautiful hotel, exceptional rooms, delicious food, breathtaking views and, most importantly, outstanding service.

Came here all inclusive with EasyJet. Was the perfect blend on luxury RnR close to the old town that I was after and hospitable with everything on hand for my husband and teenage son. Delicious food, exceptional service, comfortable room.

What a wonderful surprise! This is the best Hilton I’ve ever stayed in, including the US. Despite booking last minute, we got a very nice room overlooking the water, private pool, and in room sauna! The hotel is new and very modern. The staff were not only beautiful inside and out, they were genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning was a wonderful and delicious treat. Coffee was the best we had during our Greece vacation and I absolutely know, when the coffee is that good, the rest of the stay is that good too! The hotel staff helped us with our rental car and they gave us a very nice anniversary surprise making our stay memorable. Thank you all!
