Chaozhou Ancient Town B&B

This is by far the worst guesthouse I've ever stayed in. The price is ridiculously high for something that feels like a cheap motel. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel's location is good, not far from the city gate. It's tucked away in a small alley. There was no one to greet us at the door; we called the phone on the door and were told to add us on WeChat for the access code. The room's cleanliness was appalling. The cleaning was inadequate, and the area behind the door was filthy. Less than half an hour after check-in, two flies and a cockroach appeared. The paint on the wall near the ventilation vent was moldy. No staff were available from the next day until check-out.

Conveniently located for travel, the guesthouse is situated within the tourist area... The city gate is right outside... Guangji Bridge is opposite... The rooms even have projectors...

The room was small and charming, and the cleanliness was acceptable. The overall environment, being in an ancient town scenic area, had a simple and unpretentious style. The entire trip was self-service; both the main entrance and the room had combination locks and were remotely controlled. I didn't see the owner or any service staff. That was a nice touch.

The room is large. Cleanliness: One hair was found. Projection viewing is usually unavailable and requires payment.

When searching for a hotel, we initially booked a guesthouse outside the old town. Later, while searching again, we found this guesthouse. It was the first time we'd booked a twin room at a guesthouse, and the guesthouse itself had four rooms, which was perfect for us. First, the guesthouse is located within the old town, making it very convenient for sightseeing. Second, with four rooms, it's suitable for people who need three or four rooms. If you have a larger group, I recommend booking the entire guesthouse. We went during weekdays, so the price wasn't expensive, and it was more convenient. The guesthouse has a mahjong table and tea sets in the common areas. There's also a kitchen, so you can cook your own meals if you want. The rooms and bathrooms aren't large, but the two beds are quite big, suitable for families with children. Check-in is also convenient; after adding the owner on WeChat, you can receive the check-in code to log in yourself. The main entrance and all rooms have combination locks. Furthermore, the food recommended by the owner was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful travel experience.

The location is quite good and very convenient, but the quilt in the room is too thick. It is hot when covered and cold when uncovered. The bed is a bit hard.

The room is very cozy and has a shared lobby where you can drink tea, chat and entertain. The key is that it is only 200 meters away from the Guangji Bridge and inside the ancient city of Chaozhou, which is very convenient.
