Transportation: As our courtyard is located within the Paifang Street scenic area, the government has implemented vehicle restrictions to protect the ancient city's appearance. All vehicles from outside the scenic area must park outside the area. The taxi stand you mentioned is near Chengnan Primary School, about a 10-minute walk from the courtyard, which is common to most accommodations within the scenic area. We also encourage guests to enjoy the pleasure of walking around the ancient city area and experience the historical atmosphere of the streets and alleys. 2. Living Room Lighting and Atmosphere: The East Courtyard features a traditional Chaoshan courtyard layout, retaining the characteristics of small and high windows typical of old buildings, aiming to create a tranquil and rustic courtyard feel. We take the lighting issue you mentioned very seriously and will consider further optimizations in the future. 3. Regarding the cleaning of glassware, we have reported this to the cleaning team to strengthen disinfection and inspection procedures to ensure all items are clean and hygienic. 4. Luggage storage distance from the front desk: Our front desk is also located within the Paifang Street scenic area, separate from the courtyards. Although there is some distance, you can contact the housekeeper for assistance with luggage storage if needed. We are very pleased that the auntie was able to provide timely assistance with luggage storage. 5. Drinking water arrangement: The tea room is equipped with bottled water to facilitate guests' tea brewing, considering the large amount of hot water required for Chaozhou Gongfu tea. As you noticed, the large tea table in each courtyard is the core design element – ​​we hope that every guest can personally experience the slow brewing and tasting of Chaozhou Kung Fu tea, feeling the tranquility of this space and the traditional aesthetics of life amidst the aroma of tea. The generous open space in the garden is a deliberate design consideration: on the one hand, it provides ample area for guests to take photos and engage in activities, allowing each guest to freely capture the light and shadow and architectural details in the courtyard; on the other hand, it aligns with the "blank space" concept of Chinese courtyards, aiming to create an open and spacious courtyard experience. We also continuously experiment with adding a few bonsai or elegant installations according to the seasons and festivals, ensuring the space remains both airy and vibrant. As our residence is a converted traditional courtyard house, we preserved its original layout and style as much as possible during the overall renovation, adhering to the traditional residential philosophy of "emphasizing the hall and de-emphasizing the rooms."
