Hampton Inn Charleston-Historic District

Great amenities , great family atmosphere, comfortable rooms, bathroom very clean, breakfast was wonderful, located in a great area. Coffee shops and other eateries nearby. 

The hotel is very well located in downtown. The breakfast is pretty good.And the pool outside was very nice. Big caution however, don't pay the $43 a day for parking with the hotel. The garage next the hotel is public and only charges $24 per day. Also , my wife got bitten by dust mites in the linens, but they're very good about changing it , and there was no problem afterwards.

The staff was amazing. Beth and crystal were so kind and helpful. All the amenities were clean and there was always staff around asking if you needed anything. I will 100% be staying here again! The location is great and the parking is easy.

Welcoming staff, clean, can walk everywhere from hotel which is so useful! Rooms smell musky is my only complaint and it would be nice if all the rooms had a fridge especially in the warmer months the when your drinking a lot. Be aware there is a cost for parking at this location.

Parking was great. Only had coffee for breakfast but it was good. Staff was polished but not warm.

The parking garage was right next to the hotel. The breakfast was consistently well done and the coffee was available around the clock. That was also well made. The room was taken care of daily. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was spot on. The fresh towels were appreciated. The staff was friendly. The free bus stop was right across the street. The pool was also well maintained. All in all, a home run!!

Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a room with 2 beds on the courtyard side and the beds were very comfortable. We were right near King st where shopping and restaurants were an easy walk. The free Carta bus was right across the street. Again the staff made the experience wonderful, they couldn’t have been nicer.

The best part about staying at this property is its location; so much is within walking distance. However, there are some challenges regarding the age of the building. The 2nd room given upon my check-in (The 1st one was unacceptable) had 2 dresser drawers that wouldn't stay closed. Ultimately I had to wedge tissues between the drawers to keep them closed. There were also issues with the shower. Overall, though, it was a comfortable place with a friendly staff.
