Francis Marion Hotel

This classic hotel is right in the middle of town - perfect walking distance to multiple points of interest including Ft.Sumpter Ferry , the Aquarium , Sunset cruise , walking tours , the Charleston Market and scads of great restaurants . Our room was comfortable and clean with complementary water bottles replenished daily in addition to the usual tea/coffee . The front desk and valet service were among the best I've ever had- prompt , courteous and happy to serve ( a rarity these days for sure ) . Minor complaint - the bathroom in our room ( a standard double ) was on the small side - but the shower pressure was great and towels replenished daily . I would absolutely stay here again .

The staff is friendly and courteous. The rooms are clean and pretty. I love that Starbucks is practically in the hotel.

I always enjoy staying at the Francis Marion Hotel. The location is ideal for shopping and seeing Charleston.

We enjoyed our stay there from the Vallets to the House Keepers and everyone else. I really enjoyed having a Starbucks in the hotel! The hotel was centered for anything we wanted to do.

The property is well situated in the central business district of Charleston across from a large & lovely park. My wife & I stayed for 4 nights. Parking in the area is scarce & expensive, so valet parking fees are a challenging but very convenient. Our room was not as pictured by *******, however, the hotel manager graciously moved us to one which was as pictured. The maid service was good aside from one day when there was a towel & coffee shortage when we returned in the evening, though that was easily rectified by calling the desk. The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
