Main issue was turning on the shower and brown water came out that was gross. It’s a 100 year old building. Convenient in uptown city but comes at lower cost than bigger hotels and more noise on busy street

The property was located directly across the street from the venue we were going to. The rooms were perfect, very clean and the beds were so comfortable. There was a little noise from outside but nothing that would prevent you from a good night's sleep. And having a restaurant inside the hotel was amazing. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is lovely and very nicely appointed (has great amenities like robes, good coffee, nice fridge, comfortable bed, great views). The only two reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is (1) the room was warm, even when we turned the AC down and (2) the bathroom door creaked SUPER loudly, especially in the middle of the night. (Alerted the staff, so hopefully they fix ASAP.) But otherwise, it is a great hotel and I would absolutely stay here again!

My only complaint was that the room didn't get cold enough at night, even with the AC turned down low.

The bedding and towels were clean which is important for us, but the shower was really dirty and it smelt musty in the room. The fridge also wasn't cold. My child and I are both allergic to mold and dust and it bothered our skin. But we loved that we could walk to our venue and the staff were very courteous and helpful.

Nice hotel. Nice staff. Big room. Be aware, however. If you get a exterior facing room the noise is pretty loud on Friday and Saturday nights with cars and music thumping up and down Tryon street. Otherwise the room is quiet, but on Friday and Saturday nights that'll go till 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning. Cars revving there rice burner engines. And thumping cars and clubs outside. I can't speak for joining the week because we are only there on a Friday and a Saturday night. Otherwise, they've just renovated the carpet in the lobby which is really nice and it appears they're working on doing additional renovations. I would stay there again but would request an interior room away from Tryon Street.

Unfortunately, they were adding new carpet so it was a bit confusing to get in and out of the hotel. Room needed a bit of TLC and some minor repairs, but was generously spacious. Our room was a corner room on the 10th floor so we had a view of all the ongoing construction which is going on everywhere! Noise started promptly at 7 am. Again, anywhere downtown would have been the same. Staff was VERY helpful. We would stay there again.
